We want to have groceries delivered to OKW for our trip in a few weeks. Has anyone done this and who do you use? I've heard of the Garden Grocer and wanted to know if there is any other company that is well liked so that I can compare.

I have used wegoshop.com. They charge a set fee depending on the amount you order. I think it was $17 for up to $100 and then goes up a little from there, I think over $300 was 10% of the final bill plus tip. They charge you exactly what the store charged them. They give you the reciept. I found there service to be excellent and their charges more than reasonable.

We just came back from our first trip. We used garden grocer. They were great. Everything was packed in Brown Paper Bags-neatly, not stuffed. All bags and cases of water etc...was labled with our name on it. It appeared to have been delivered to Disney around 10AM and we arrived around 6PM. The cold stuff was kept cold by Disney. After we checked in Bell Services delivered it to the room within 15 minutes of arriving. There was an itemized computer print out receipt in the bag. Absolutely nothing was missing. And they called and left a message on our voice mail, that should anything be missing or we forgot something or we needed to order more while we were in Orlando, just call them and they would waive any additional fees---we didn't have to luckily. While we were on the Dining Plan, we ordered "extra" type of things---cereal for breakfast, junk food and extra beverages to stay hydrated.

No I don't work for Garden Grocer. I live in PA and just had a positive experience with them.

We used Garden Grocer, and I would ABSOLUTELY use them again. The delivery fee was reasonable, and the groceries were better than I would have picked out myself! I really mean that. I would highly recommend them, and will plan on using them again in the future! :thumbsup2

And per the PP, I don't work for Garden Grocer either!

We used GardenGrocer on our trip last year. I have nothing but the highest praise for them. Everything arrived perfectly and they offered us the same "if you need anything else, we'll waive the delivery fee" deal.
I love grocery delivery and they are TOP NOTCH!

Now WHY can't someone PLEASE make this work in DFW?!?!?!?
:confused3
I miss my home grocery delivery.

We just used Garden Grocer and I would use them again, We did have one mistake with our order but it was not a big deal. (They forgot one thing and put in two of something else).

I like the fact they have a list to shop from (rather than me providing everything) however they were flexible that if I wanted to order something not on the list they were able to accomidate me.

For example, I like 12oz bottles of Diet Pepsi and Diet Dr. Pepper. Sounds silly but I can bring a soda with me and close the cap rather then a can that cannot be closed. Only Diet Coke is on the list with 12 oz bottles, but they were able to fill the request. I also requested specific soup which they provided.

Our food was at BCV when we arrived and in our room quickly from Bell Service!

We will be using them on our next trip!

Not trying to hijack here, but there seems to be a lot of recent experience with gardengrocer. I'm going to be in WDW in about 2 weeks. I have my GG order all set, except I haven't set a delivery time. Our flight lands at 4:20pm and we're taking DME to the AKV. We plan on going to the MK that night so I don't want to wait around for groceries. If I want them to beat me to the resort, am I OK to pick the 4-6pm delivery window? I would definitely prefer that the groceries are there when I check in. That way, I don't have to try and get them when we return from the MK at 11pm!:headache: Are they generally on time? Also, how much do you tip bell services for the secondary grocery delivery?:confused3

Our flight landed at 10:30 am and we had arranged for delivery between 10-12. We got the phone call at 10:30 from GG saying they were on their way. By the time we got to BCV and checked in the food was at Bell Services. We stopped there and had them check on the groceries. We had them in our room within 10 minutes of us checking in. It was great!

I think we tipped $5 for Bell Services (certainly not more then $10). We also left a tip for GG on our order but I'm not sure that was necessary.

Hi: We just got back yesterday from a week at BWV (19 of us!), and we used Garden Grocer again. They had another delivery coming to the resort about a half hour before the time slot my daughter-in-law had selected, and they called her cell phone to see if it would be okay to deliver the order earlier. They brought it right to the room. The size (24 count) of several cases of water was not available when they shopped, so they purchased 32 count cases for us at no extra charge. We will certainly continue to use them.

A friend used Garden Grocer this summer and was SO PLEASED!!!!!!!
GREAT FEEDBACK!!!!!!!

I decided to use wegoshop this summer. We had 10 people to feed and wanted to limit our park/resort meals....think 9 adults and 1 child CS/TS bill.:scared1:

My sil wanted very specific items and making our own list was easier. You can tell Marge where you want them to shop. I picked Publix(with Whole Foods as an option because we ordered organic items) because you can go online and see their weekly flyer. We were able to add more fruit to our order because they had strawberries and melons on sale. We were at SSR for a week, ate all breakfasts except for the mickey waffle morning, most lunches/snacks and 4 dinners in the villa. I even added items 2 days before we left.

They will deliver to your room. We timed it to when we were in the room. On time and to the door, they unpack, check it off the list and put it in the refrigerator/cupboards if you like. My sil was very pleased that she was able to get her "very specific" brands to make her dishes. Wegoshop gives you the original receipt plus their charge and we added a tip. Call or email wegoshop, Marge will answer any of your questions.

My sil is very particular and loves to grocery shop, but I told her that why should the guys have more time playing at WDW while we're renting a car, looking for a store, shopping, and then shlepping the groceries to the villa. She's so into the DVC zone now.

am I correct that wegoshop will deliver alcohol, but garden grocer will not?

also, it looks like wegoshop just asks for a list of items. How specific do you need to be? For example, if I put 'squeeze honey bear', would that be sufficient? Or would I need a size (oz) and brand?

We used gardengrocer and they delivered alcohol. Just put it in the comments section. They brought everything right to our door and unpacked it for us. Will definately be using them on future trips. Great service.

Another vote for Wegoshop. Marge, the owner, was great to work with. I really liked the fact I could make my own list, with specific sizes and brands. We also ordered beer and wine with no problem. Delivery was right on time and delivered right to our room at OKW.

we used garden grocer and it was great. We were at dinner at the time, but they left the food with bell services, and left me a message. When I got back to the room bell services deliveried the food, everything was correct and as described. I would highly recommend.

We've also used wegoshop and I have been very pleased. Like some others have posted, I liked being able to give my specific brand choices and being able to select the store.

My last delivery was very prompt and was delivered right to my room. And when there was a error (something left off the list), they delivered the missing item within two hours and wouldn't let me pay them for it even though I tried to several times.

We used Wegoshop on our trip last May. Unfortunately we did not have a positive experience. They left off a huge case of gatorade and after numerous phone calls we never did get it delivered or get a refund. We well definately not be using them again. They were terrible about returning our calls regarding the matter and ultimately didn't care since they already had our money. We will be using Garden Grocer in December.

We used Garden Grocer for our last trip and had no problems. One drawback was, however, the minimum amount that had to be purchased. I don't recall what that was, but, we were only staying for 4 nights and just wanted snacks, drinks, and breakfast stuff. It was hard to get up to that minimum amount.

I've used wegoshop a few times and have loved it. Marge is great.
