Grocery delivery?

I may never leave the house again!!!!!!!!!!!

Its definitely a good way to stick to the list and not do impulse buys. Even with a delivery charge it will probably be cheaper than actually going to the store.

My mom was just talking about this the other day. She absolutely HATESto grocery shop.
She Said you can order everything online and they deliver to your kitchen counter for $6
I know what she will be doing next week!

What grocery store does this? I would sooooo love to take advantage of that. I hate grocery shopping too, and with 4 kids now, it is becoming harder and harder to do!

Man, do I miss Webvan!! It delivered groceries for Atlanta for awhile then went belly up! I loved it because it kept me from impulse buying and since my son was young then, I had to climb the stairs with him and the food!! It was GREAT for kitty litter!!

I wish there was a way I could do it now!!

Come to CT we have PeaPod delivery by Stop & Shop (I am sure in MA, RI & NY too).

Grocery delivery is the best thing ever. I hate going to the grocery store hate it and shopping online for groceries is so easy!

I have been using Peapod for years.. They are excellent...They do a great job of picking out items...I always get very fresh good looking meats and produce.

I do King Soopers. $5 for delivery. The only problem is the online store doesn't have all of their inventory to choose from.

True for sure. Last summer we were about 1/2 hour from Morgantown going to my son's baseball tournament when we realized that he'd forgotten his baseball bag filled with his equipment. Thankfully a new Dick's Sporting Goods had just opened up, so we were fine, but we had about an hour wondering how he was going to be able to play (he's a leftie, so can't just share with most of his teammates). Frederick isn't far from Northern Montgomery County, with every store you can imagine. Lots more cities close by.

As to the grocery delivery...I haven't used one, mainly because I'm a control freak when it comes to that sort of thing. I had a period this winter when my depression was real bad that I hardly went out of the house for several months and turned the shopping over to my DH and that was bad enough.

I've used Peapod a couple times and LOVE the service! We've been having our kitchen remodeled and it's so nice to not have to worry about when I can get out to the store while waiting on contractor after contractor. I'm glad to hear they do a good job selecting meats. I've been happy with the fruits/veggies so far.

I buy our produce at the Farmer's Market and our meat, poultry and fish from butchers, etc., but pretty much everything else we have delivered. I even used Costco business delivery for drinks and supplies when we had a party once.

They do a very good job with meats and i have even ordered prime rib roasts for holidays etc.
