Grocery delivery with bell services?

Are there any grocery services that can deliver your order & leave it with bell services other than Garden Grocer? We were going to use Instacart but I don't know exactly when we'd get to our resort, Port Orleans French Quarter.

For non-perishables and no alcohol I’ve had Walmart, Kroger, Amazon & Instacart drop at bell services no issues. I was charged a grocery fee but I had it delivered to my room as I didn’t want to haul it, I don’t think you get hit with the fee if you pick it up from bell services yourself.

You can have perishables delivered to bell services and they’ll store them appropriately. No alcohol anymore to bell services except through one vendor, I forget who they are, someone here will know I’m sure!

I've had Walmart and Target deliver to bell services. Just make sure that if you have things there that need to be/stay cold that the driver notifies the bell services of that so they can refrigerate/freeze it if needed. For example: We always order deli meat/cheese and that obviously needs to stay refrigerated.

Other than the options that are available at each, we find no noticeable distinction between Walmart, Publix, Instacart, Uber, Whole Foods, etc., and we've used them all. I'm convinced that someone who delivers for one delivers for most or all of them. The resort does not care who the groceries come from - they will handle them all the same way. So, go with whomever carries your preferred brands at the best price (if that's Instacart, great, they'll do just fine!).

FWIW:

We usually arrive at our resort in the morning, plan to splurge on a QS lunch at the resort, and schedule our groceries to be delivered around dinner time. On the rare occasion that we will be arriving later in the day, we usually schedule our groceries to be delivered as early as is available the next morning and plan to splurge on QS Dinner/Breakfast at the resort. I don't like the idea of our groceries beating us to the resort just because people do innocently miss things in their car and no one at the resort is going to know if that happened. If that were to happen, I would not be willing to waste precious hours trying to get ahold of the driver or get a refund - it would just be chalked up to a loss.

I had a problem twice in the last few years with Publix, most recently in February. Maybe my misunderstanding on how they work.
But, recently I was delayed and I did not missed the call from the delivery person, so they canceled my order. I thought they would leave with Bell Services at SSR.

A few years ago, I almost missed their call on our way to Rivera, but I call person back and told them to leave it with Bell Services at Rivera.

Previously, I always used GG, because they were the only game in town pretty much. But, post Covid everyone is delivering. GG was limited selection and price were kind of high.

Next, trip I will either have to read the fine print or make a note to leave with Bell Services, if I can not be contacted.

Just remember if you have a Spilt Stay, Bell Services will not fridgerate your cold stuff for the move if you are having them move your luggage etc.

From personal experience, whatever service you use (we usually do InstaCart), just make sure the store packs and marks the items that require refrigeration separately. Bell Services will be glad to hold the items in cold storage for you until you pick up or have it sent to the room. But they will not go through the groceries and pull things out for refrigeration. We lost some milk and butter last year because we didn't stress that point with our shopper - our fault.... I can't blame BS for that one.

Ah it's not Publix. You are really dealing with Instacart for the shopping and delivery of your items from Publix. When you order for delivery you actually leave the Publix.com site and enter Instacarts world.

Very good point! I always leave a note “LEAVE AT X HOTEL BELL SERVICES” This way the delivery person knows what to do and there is a record I told them to so they know they won’t have issues from me for leaving my stuff.

Our family has a Prime membership. So, my DW is ordering from Amazon Fresh. She watched some Youtube videos about ordering an delivery with Amazon Fresh and WDW.

It is my understanding that whomever you order from, if it involves alcohol, you need to personally pick-up the delivery with photo identification. Maybe I'm misunderstanding that personal pick up for booze, beer and wine being required for all delivery companies.

I have ordered from Garden Grocer for past trips but I used Walmart for our last two trips. I really liked Walmart because I ordered an umbrella stroller and other things a normal grocery store wouldn't have.

Walmart service was outstanding and I will use them again at the end of this month. :)

The last three times I've ordered groceries, I ordered from Walmart. The only complaint I had was the last time, I scheduled the delivery too early, so I was in the air when they sent the notification about substitutions and they substituted whole milk for oat milk. Going forward, I'll schedule the delivery better so I can get that notification of substitutions. Otherwise, I've found Walmart to be the most affordable delivery service of them all in the area.

Amazon fresh is the one I won’t go back to. One order of groceries and half of it got substituted, later trip an order for small items and water ended up with one liter water bottles being substituted 🤦🏻‍♀️ Two orders requiring major substitutions was too much.

Although now it seems Amazon fresh lets you pick your substitutes? That would definitely have helped.

At least our 1 liter waters from Amazon we could pour into other water bottles. Whole milk for oat milk is Yikes.
