:sunny: Just wanted to post a follow-up thread regarding gardengrocer.com. I ordered online thru them and they delivered the order today to the Pop Century. They were very prompt and our order was correct. They deliver the stuff to the bell desk and when you are ready you just call the desk and have it brought up to your room. I will definitely use them again! Can't beat $3.99 for a 12 pack of Dasani water!!! :thumbsup2

so glad you had good service! We're planning on using them in a few weeks. How early did you place your order?
Hope you are having a great vacation! :goodvibes

I plan on using Garden Grocer as well and was wondering how early can I place my order. It is good to hear it all worked out.

I placed the order about a month ago. Their website is super easy and the order form has a drop down menu of all Disney Resorts and the addresses. The delivery person even called my cell phone (that's the contact # I put on my order) to let me know he had just delivered our order to the bell desk.

Lastly, check out their weekly specials/sales online. We got the Dasani water on sale!

This forum is the best!!!

I've been trying to figure out how to get Coke delivered to our room for my soda addicted husband and everything I read keeps saying get a taxi and go off property. Well, I don't want to do that! This gardengrocer website has everything we could possibly need without having to worry about it. I've even carried large 2 liter bottles in my carryon in order to keep him calm, but with the new regs I won't be able to do that. This website will save me so much stress!!

Thank you! Thank you!

Just a quick side note. I will be ordering from Garden Grocer today for my arrival at POP on Monday. I inquired about an item they do not display on the web site. I was told to order the similar item, and in the comments section put down what you really want. For example, they show Boys Pull Ups. I was told to order the boys, and in the comment put, girls pull ups size 4T. They will email you with the availability and the price before the order is processed. I have heard only great things about this service, and if it keep me from lugging pull ups and Cheerios in my luggage I am all for it!

I figured the $10 delivery fee they charge was a better deal than a cab fare each way :thumbsup2. Plus, who wants to miss that precious time in the parks while hunting down groceries? :confused3

I can't wait to use them again! Easiest detail of the trip!

We used them in July and had great service. By the way, I placed my order on Saturday for a Monday arrival--no problems at all.

I have 2 questions....

1) once the order is placed can or add items to your order on-line or do you
have to call

2) how much of a tip is appropriate?

We usually take most of the items we need with us (this makes more room for us to bring stuff home too) anyhow for the heck of it I got some of my recent grocery receipts out to do a little price comparison.

Here are the top 4 items on our 'disney shopping list'.
Pampers size 3 diapers x 2 bags GG $27.98 Meijers $19.08
Enfamil Lipil w/iron x 2 canisters GG $51.98 Meijers $47.94
Gerber 2nd foods x 10 2pk GG $11.90 Meijers $10.40
Graham Crackers x 1 box $3.69 Meijers $2.89

Garden Grocer's total $105.55 (including $10 shipping)
Meijers total $80.31 (all the prices quoted for meijers are ticketed price, I usually buy on sale and w/coupons when I can so this amount will likely be less.)

It would only be worth it for items that can't be carried such as soda or milk but even so still not cheap.

I just emailed the same question to Brian, the owner, a few days ago. He replied pretty quickly and said once the order is placed I could email with any additions up to the day before delivery. I placed my order yesterday for a Sept 30 deilvery. HTH

I told DH about the grocer and how I would be able to get Coke delivered and he said, "This will be the best Disney vacation ever." :rotfl: Usually I have to buy it out of the machines or at the stores and it costs a fortune. Even if all I order is a few cases of coke it will be worth it.

Does anyone know how far in advance you can order?

Thank you so much!

We arrive before noon, so won't be able to check in until afternoon. We're not sticking around the hotel that day (MK beckons...) so if we don't plan to be back in the room until 9 that night, are we just out of luck for groceries that first day? I need to order milk (so refrigeration of my order becomes an issue).

We leave every morning at 7:30, back for naps from 2-4, and then gone again until 9:00 at night. Can you be VERY specific about the delivery time, so as to be there precisely when they come by?

Surely we can't be the first family to need refrigerated items, having this worry?

I would give gardengrocer a call and discuss these details there is an #800 on their website. Others have told me that their perishables come in those "cooler" bags. Orders are delivered to the bell desk so perhaps you could make special arrangements to have the perishables taken to your room and put in your fridge?? I'm sure something can be arranged.

Exactly!!! I bet my family of 3 spends well over $100 each trip buying soda's at $2.50+ each! I knew they were spendy at the parks but when I noticed the vending machines take debit/credit cards I knew we were going to go broke! Same with bottled water. It's just such a great deal to order it from gardengrocer and have it stocked and cold in your minin fridge! I am soooo happy for your husband :lmao:

:wave2: (bump) This is just such a great, affordable service that I want to make sure others are aware of it! :yay:

GG is great! He works really hard to do everything he can to make the delivery work for you! I just placed an order to be delivered Saturday! :cool1:
