We are going to BCV in Aug. for our anniversary and will use the Magical Express. We don't need much in the way of groceries, but may like a few things such as bagels, soft drinks, water, etc. Does anyone deliver to the villas that is reasonable? The prices on-site are crazy, so I'm looking to see what other options are available.

Alot of folks speak well of wegoshop.com

Does anyone out there who uses Wegoshop have the time to explain to me how it works? I must be an idiot because I can't seem to understand it. I can see they ask you to fill in a page with what you want and expect you to estimate the cost. Does this mean I won't actually get the final total until they deliver it to my villa?

I am going to spend some more time on the site right now and see if I can figure this out, but if anyone has used them and can give share what they know I'd be very grateful. :cheer2: :wave2:

We used Wegoshop.com for our 11/27-12/3 trip. I faxed my order 3 days ahead of time. I was very specific about what I wanted. Eric arrived right at the 5:00pm delivery time with his cute little son. He came right to our room. He redelivered some items later in the week. We were very pleased and would use them again

That's pretty much it. If you know the basic cost of the items you want, then you will know approximately how much you have spent. We have used them too and they are excellent. When the store didn't have something on our list, Eric called my DW's cell phone to ask her if she would like a replacement. Fast, friendly, honest and most importantly, ON-TIME.

Yes. You pay the actual cash register total plus a "shop & delivery fee." The fee is quite reasonable. For an order under $100, the fee is just $15. Considering that they have spend the time shopping and delivering the order to you, I don't think anybody is getting rich. You can pick your favorite WDW-area store, such as Publix, Winn-Dixie, WalMart or others, and they'll shop there for you.

If you search these boards for WeGoShop, you'll find lots of favorable reviews.

I've never used WeGoShop.com ( http://www.wegoshop.com/ ) but it certainly looks promising -- especially because I intend to take Magical Express to OKW later this year.

Thanks for the replies! It feels a little weird to "buy now find out the total later" but I do know my prices (and have shopped at Publix, one of the stores Wegoshop offers) so I'm sure I can esimate the total. All the glowing recommendations have convinced me to try them when I try magical express in October. Next trip is April so we'll do the towncar deal, but I'm looking forward to saving $100 in October.

Thanks again for the info. :flower:

In a way that's like shopping at your local grocery store. You don't know the total until you've gone through the checkstand. (The difference, of course, is that you see each item's price while you're shopping at your local grocery store.)

well reading this thread convinced me to use wegoshop for our next trip this jul

As far as totals go. I prepared my list by using Albertsons online site. This gave me an idea of what the prices/total was and allowed me to be very detailed in my list.

I will use wegoshop everytime I return to Disney. The service was excellent and if Eric would have let me I would have kept that little man for my vacation too. He was the cutest little baby.

I am sure that they will provide receipt for the grocery, so I don't worry about paying more than I should. And the service fee is more than reasonable, at least for me. Saving a side trip and hassle with 2 year-old boy who wants touch everything on his way, the service fee worth every penny.

When I recently bought in at SSt, my guide said that DVC would stock your fridge for $5 but at Disney prices for food. I know that Disney prices can be crazy but when you figure in shoppng fees could it be just has good

Higher Disney prices with a smaller $5 fee vs. cheaper prices with larger $15 fee (for <$100 groceries)

Plus he said that it would already be stocked when you check in. Maybe more convenenient if you do not have to be there to get the groceries stocked.

I think Disney only stocks with what they sell on property which is a pretty limited selection with no veggies and practially no fruits etc

With al the favorable threads, I'm definitely using Wegoshop in May. This way I can get exactly what is on my list. Disney definitely has a limited list. I've also seen a special with Wegoshop where the delivery fee is 50% off for first time customers.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this offer is "only good for local residents, not available for Disney World vacationers"

I've just sent in my list for when we go. They've got their work cut out trying to understand it, as I'm fairly unfamiliar with US brands and sizes etc. But they've been extremely pleasant and helpful about it all so far!! :teeth:

we were to arrive. We asked to have our groceries to arrive at SSR Jan 13, 2005 at 5pm. When we called Becca (owner) to advise that we were checked in our room at approx 4pm, she was in the process of shopping for our groceries at that time. She arrived promptly at 5pm with everything we ordered or similar......we were very happy with the service and the low delivery fee $25.00 and $5.00 for the extra stop for some liquor.

You pay the same prices that the grocery store charges and in my opinion a very low delivery fee, considering it includes her time from her home, shopping, delivery.

We used them again in the middle of our vacation for some items we were running short on, we just called her telephone and ordered verbally. Once again, very impressed!

We will be using wegoshop the next time we are at SSR

Yeah I see that now. Oh well, I'm looking forward to not having to shop and waist precious Disney time.

Another option is netgrocer.com. I've used them twice now. You can see what brands/size you actually are buying at the time of your order. You pay beforehand with a credit card and it is shipped directly to your resort. Only problem is that they don't do fresh/frozen or dairy. We always buy that when we get there from the ScreenDoor at BWV.

Maybe we'll give wegoshop a shot this June. A lot of you seem to really like it.

I'm happy to see that this is something that works out for people. I was looking forward to taking advantage of the Magical Express(I like free :)) for our June trip but then I downloaded the OKW order form and about choked at some of the prices. I think that we can make up for the delivery fee difference just in beverage costs to say nothing of the fact the the soda drinkers in the family aren't Coke fans anyway.

You cant go wrong with WEGOSHOP.com.... THe service was great. We used them twice on a recent trip thins month, and will use them again in a few weeks.

Both times, right on time, both times provided me with a look at the bill, although they do keep it (I suspect that they would give you a copy if you asked for it before they arrived). Both times had their cute little guy with them (my girls loved him......thought he was so lucky to always be in WDW).

And lastly, we did get the 1st time 50% disocunt and seeing as we are coming from Canada....I can't as we're local......

Really.... Honestly....Don't make sense (or at least not a business) for the delivery fee alone, espicially since they also accept Credit Cards...... so must be some discounts at the stores....But, who cares.... For $15.00, or $20.00 it's a great service.......
