I'm trying to determine if we'd be better off shipping some staple items to our resort (from home) or if it's cheaper just to have WeGoShop or Garden Grocery deliver for us. Garden Grocer's prices seem VERY high to me. SO if I have delivery I'm leaning towards WGS.

We could do just fine without anything perishable....but I'm thinking what I ship may be heavy - juice boxes (maybe 2 10packs), breakfast foods, some snacks like chips, cereals. (The juice would be the heaviest) Not sure how much it would cost to ship those things.

On the other hand, it'd be nice to have some fresh fruit on hand (we are big fruit eaters). Grapes, apples, bananas....so maybe delivery is the way to go?? :confused3

I cannot stress enough how absolutely thrilled we were with wegoshop.com and Marge Peck. All went great, prices were good, they used coupons that they had (I didn't send them!!!), no hassle shopping, no hassle shipping, etc etc etc.

I chose WegoShop for the same reason. I thought GG prices were higher so he could lower the delivery cost. I liked the idea of paying the same cost as if I shopped myself. Marge shopped at Walmart and brought the receipt. She uses coupons and splits the savings with you--Great surprise and Loved it!! She's very dependable. We've used her 3x now. And we always get some fruit and cold or frozen items--can't ship them!
I would think you'd pay around the same cost for grocery delivery as shipping your own without the hassle AND fresh food options.

We did both - shipped a box with all the non-perishable, not too heavy stuff (granola bars, peanut butter, crackers, cookies, etc) and then ordered fresh stuff and perishables from Garden Grocer - it worked out great! Have a GREAT time!!!

Yes, I'm leaning towards WGS and, like you, am thinking that paying the delivery fee is way better than giong to the hassle of going to the post office and shipping stuff. Not to mention, being able to get perishable items such as fruit and lunch meats. I've heard many mention Walmart...is it a Super Walmart that she goes to....with a FULL grocery store? We don't have one near me but I hear that they are great. So whatever you order from her, the price we pay is exactly what it is in the store...no markup? How the heck does she make any money this way???

Thanks!

I have always used GG. I just thought I would look at WeGo. I can't find a shopping list to choose from. Do I really just make a list and they will get it.
How do I know the price of the items?
Thanks,
Brenda

It is a Super Walmart--so you can add some items that grocery stores might not have. We always as for an inexpensive styrofoam cooler to take to the pool. She doesn't mark up the grocery prices at all. She makes her money directly from her "shopping fee". Nothing hidden at all.

Yes, you just type a list of exactly what you want. We always include a second option (size, flavor, or brand) in case the item isn't in stock. The last visit she actually went to a second store to get what we asked for which was not expected or necessary but GREATLY appreciated.

You really can't get the exact price beforehand since you pay exactly what she pays--the cost that day. It's just like grocery shopping yourself. But I've never really seem prices that far off from what we pay at home. I still love the fact that she uses coupons!

I have used wegoshop several times. You can pick the store that you would like them to shop at. Generally the prices are about the same as your own supermarket, you can check the stores circular online to get the idea.
They will even go to a second store (for a small fee) like Sam's for really big items (think cheaper prices), sometimes we get two pallets of water. They are great!
