Grocery Delivery at SSR..how does it work?!

Hi all, how does the grocery delivery services like InstaCart work at large resorts like SSR? Will they bring the groceries directly to your room or do you have to pick them up in the lobby? Also, if your not around will they leave the groceries with bell services. And lastly, if the groceries can only be delivered to the front lobby, what are your options to get them to your hotel room especially if you room is far away? thanks so much!

We used garden grocer at SSR last month. They were delivered to bell services during the day, and we called bell services to have them brought them to us. There might have been a handling fee for this, I don’t remember.

Another question for delivery at SSR: I just chatted with DVC and that person states I have to be at the room to receive the delivery (not bell service). Is this true or misinformed?

Seems misinformed to me. We get groceries delivered every trip and have used Instacart, Garden Grocer, and Amazon Fresh in the past and all have delivered and left at bell services because we either weren't at the resort or at the pool and figured we grab it when we left (no alcohol). Unless I misunderstood and you meant having bell services deliver to your room and in that case I'm not sure the process as we always go pick up from bell services ourselves.

For $2 you can do priority service. Did it twice this week during 4th and had someone shop within about 10 mins and then come to deliver.

Great option so you can get it exactly when you will be around.

I did add a little more to the tip each time as they can see it before doing your order.

Also we had one item missing, said it in the app and got an instant refund. It was an item we added after they started shopping.
