Awesome! Yes, we are going on March 4 and coming home on the 9th. We get out for Mardi Gras here in Louisiana so we are making a little vacation of our time off!

All this talk of snow is making me sad....we never get that here. It's already in the 70s and that means the nasty heat will be here by March. ARRGGG I want some snow

I used to be the same way, coming from Las Vegas I always wanted "4 seasons"....well, I have now changed my mind...I really would only like too have "2 seasons". Up here in the Inland Northwest we have the most beautiful summers. I do feel your pain with the nasty heat though, I don't miss that at all. Burning your legs when you sit in the car, blistering your fingers when you open a door....ya I don't miss that at all. For that, I'm grateful for our gorgeous summers. The fall here is awesome. Sooooo pretty, and cool in the air, love it! The winters suck! No other way to put it, and frankly, that is putting it nicely. Spring is hit or miss, if it's warm and blooming it's great, if it's gray and damp...no thanks.

Awesome! Yes, we are going on March 4 and coming home on the 9th. We get out for Mardi Gras here in Louisiana so we are making a little vacation of our time off!

LOL, yeah you and the entire state!! We were there for Mardi gras 2008, and vowed to never go back this time of year!! It was so busy, so much purple and gold!! However, my in-laws are renting a house for the month and my SIL has never been and she picked the week, and we're just crashing their "party" anyway.
Looking forward to some warmth after today's deep chill!!!!

vegasnative...I was starting to wonder about that envie. I mailed it out of the PO on Tuesday. I was in such a hurry to get there that I forgot to put your zipcode on there. Luckily the postal worker caught it and wrote it in for me. Maybe it took a long time because it made a stop at the knitting factory!! LOL!!

Really? We went MG 2009 and it was great! Weather was wonderful and crowds were much lower than they were in the summers when we usually go. I think as long as you go when MG does not coincide with Presidents Week, you are okay. It did in 2010 and also will in 2012.....I wonder if that was the problem with your 2008 trip?

Nope, it was the 1st week in February- right before I went back to work from maternity leave. I think that first weekend was also the Superbowl. The end of the week was much better.
I hope you're right though - that maybe we just caught an off year.
