Another scraper here. I just attended my first crop this week and had a blast, I'm hooked.



My downfall is my "enabling scrapbook buddy". She just sent me an email and wants to meet at a local scrapbook store tonight. I HAD talked myself into NOT going. We can justify anything when it comes to scrapbooking.

I use to join in on the monthly scrap challenge on that forum, I need to go check it out again. I have done quite a few pages in the last few weeks.

I know I had been meaning to post this before, but don't think I ever did....

If you frequent Hot Coupon World, there is a forum about contacting companies to compliment them on their products, etc. Sometimes if you do this, the companies will often send out coupons for the products you have complimented them one.

There is one thread there that lists MANY of the websites to contact, but when I have done this, I just usually go to the product's website and find the "contact us" area.

I have received coupons for free shaving cream, scrubbing bubbles product's. Hostess products, SeaPak, etc

If there is a product you love, it might not hurt to shoot them a compliment and see what happens...

I also contacted AcneFree when I had seen that their Step 2 product in their kits could be purchased in stores and I had been unable to find just that one as that was the one that my son went through the most of.

They said that I could order it directly from them (which I did eventually) but they also sent out one of the Step 2's and a free item of something else just because I contacted them.

Companies always love to hear when we like a product

Hey everyone

I have been with this train for several months now and while I am not very active with posting things other than the send/receive info, I LOVE this train and have gotten some great coupons.

I am posting because I need to ask you gals for a favor. I have volunteered to teach a couponing class (for free, of couse) at my local food bank. I am doing my first one on March 2nd and if there is a good turnout, I will keep doing them until the army decides to move my husband and I.

I am looking for coupon donations that I can give to the people who are in my class to get them started. They would need to have expiration dates later than 4/1 and be items that would be considered "typical" household usage coupons. I dont need anything like pet food, medication, and all the other odds and ends that come in the inserts ( like those weird foot pad things ) . I know these are hard economic times for everyone so if you can not help by sending, just some well wishes for my first class would be awesome. If you do have extra coupons and would like to help out, please PM me and I will give you my address.

I am hoping to be able to teach some of the valuable money saving tips that I have learned here and on other forums to people who have very limited resources and need thier money to stretch as far as they can. Personally, I have gotten pretty deep with my couponing but I want to start by offering tips in the basics and then perhaps move on to an advanced course. I am starting by educating some of thier clients along with the employees so that they can in turn, pass the information along to other people who are in need. My goal is to create an ongoing class that even after I leave here, other people can easily teach.
