We were debating about ordering groceries. Can you order them ahead of time and have them waiting in your room? Or is better to order them after you get in? What has worked best for everyone who has ordered in the past?
TIA!!! popcorn::

You have to order ahead of time and tell them your approximate check-in time. On our first trip, we used the resort delivery and it was brought up to our room shortly after we got there. This past trip, we used Garden Grocer and I told them when I wanted the groceries dropped off at bell services. When we got into the room, I simply called bell services and they brought the bags up within 15 minutes. It was great.

Garden Grocer will deliver within a 2-hr. window of your choosing. Since we are arriving relatively late this year, we opted to have them deliver our items the next morning. Choose a time that works best for your group. They are very accommodating with terrific service.

Since no one knows exactly what villa you will be in until after you check in, they cannot be waiting in your room for you when you check in. Once you check in, Bell Services will bring them to your villa.

We used garden grocer for the first time, it was great. We ordered from their grocery menu and told them the 2 hour window when we would be arriving. We arriced everything was waiting for us at bell service. They have cold storage at all the resorts for your ice cream etc. Free delivery to the resort over 200 dollars which was easy to be over.

are you sure about that part? I thought it had to be $200 for free delivery. Minimum order is $40 and that has a $12 delivery fee.

You are correct - above poster was incorrect. I am in the middle of processing my order now.

How are the Garden Grocer's prices?

We find their prices to be fine. Of course, we are comparing to our Canadian prices, and they are very close. They have lots of selection and even a wholesale club section.

We chose GG over We Go Shop as we aren't from the U.S., so we can't make a personalized list of products. Plus, we have allergies/sensitivities, and need to see the ingredients, and GG provides them online. Plus, We Go Shop's fee is higher - I know it probably works out to be about the same as they allow coupons, whereas GG does not, but for our small order (around $90.00), GG seems to be a better choice.

sorry you are right dw came and told me so i changed post. But even at 200 we managed to be over for free delivery

You may also want to consider using Marge at We Go Shop -- she will go anywhere you want and her service is so great! She called our cell phone on her way to our villa after we picked a time for her to arrive.

I have used wegoshop.com three times now and love it! I love getting to order what I want (brand specific) and not be tied to some pre-made list such as garden grocer. I also like that you can tell her where to shop, so if you are familiar with a particular store (walmart,target,publix etc..) and they have one of those in Orlando, Marge will shop there for you. I have even had her call me on my cell while she was shopping to see if she could substitute something I had on my list. I thought that was great!

FYI -- if there is something you want that is not on GG's list, you can add it to the comments section and they will get it for you. I was able to get everything I needed, including the brands I asked for.
