Is there anywhere on the Disney property to "stock up" on snacks and things (such as a grocery type store)? We want to take advantage of the fridge in our room and have a ready supply of munchies for our 3 kids without having to get stuff from the snack carts. BTW - we are flying in so we cannot easily travel offsite.

I don't know how close you will be to it, Boardwalk has a store onsite.
They carry the basics; bread, milk, eggs, soda, cereal, and liquor.

We are staying in Boardwalk Villas and are able to fax a grocery list ahead so they can fill our fridge before we arrive. Pricey though.

This time we are using Disney's Magical Express, but we used to always rent a car from Tiffany Town Car and make a grocery run at Albertson's on the way.

Have fun.

We ordered some things from GardenGrocer.com, but I also brought snacks (Rice Krispy Treats, Chewy Granola Bars, Individual Bags of Peanuts and those little Cheeze-it things, and fruit snacks. The kids were pretty happy with those, and if you have the dining plan, we did not eat nearly as many snacks as I anticipated.

From Garden Grocer, I ordered water, softdrinks (we don't drink coffee), juice boxes for the kids, milk, yogurt, bananas, apple slices, 1 individual cereal bowl for each of us, and lunchables for the kids (2 each). Two of them ended up sharing a lunchable one night, but I ended up taking the rest home with me...we had an 11:00 am flight, and as soon as we got on the plane, all were hungry, so I was glad to have something easy and not very messy to take on the plane. I had gotten a Mickey waffle for them as we left the resort, and they ate that at about 9:30 when we got to the gate, but were then hungry again later.

I think that the minimum order was $50, and delivery was $12.00. We used the groceries mainly for breakfast so we didn't have to get out as early and could go straight to the park, and then again for evening snacks when we at dinner at 4:30 or 5:00. We were then able to feel like we were really treating ourselves for our snack credit each day (the kids really liked the Itzakadoozie popcicle thing, and also the slushie type drinks).

I would highly recommend wegoshop.com. Very friendly staff and great service. Just send them your shopping list a few days before you leave, and they will deliver everything to your room the day you arrive. It couldn't be any easier, and it saves you from wasting your precious vacation time running around getting groceries.

I've never used gardengrocer.com, but have heard good things about them.

We used Garden Grocer twice, and we were mostly pleased (though last year the guy was late).

The resorts that have DVC properties all have stores that sell limited grocery items, but the resorts without the DVC properties are much more limited in selection of groceries. We stay at the Poly, and that's why we have ordered from Garden Grocer.

The money we save in bottled water alone is worth it.

We have used wegoshop a 4 or 5 times and have been very pleased with their service. It is a great help to have groceries delivered.:)

GardenGrocer.com Rocks! Saved us lots of money and got us on our way in a quick minute. Great customer service and if you talk to them, will bring alcohol too.
