Looking for the voice of experience here or maybe someone that lives in Orlando. About to place my WeGoShop order and am wondering what store I should have them shop at that's about the cheapest ???

Thanks everyone -

PS - See, I'm not giving in to this darned hurricane, we're scheduled to arrive Sunday afternoon !!! Here's hoping it goes away. :wizard:

I have a similar question. We are staying at the Sheraton Vistana and heard there's a Super Walmart close by. I've never been in a "Super" Walmart but apparently they sell groceries. Anyone do their shopping there?

I had them shop for me last February. I requested Super Walmart (a Walmart with groceries) but they did not shop there. They might possibly go there if it is near your hotel but they will not go out of their way to shop at a supermarket that you specifically request. They shopped at Publix for me and I am not familiar with their brands. Needless to say, I wound up with a lot of substitutions for the items I had requested. If you are really picky about the brands you get, you may not want to use them.

I now they try to go to the store requested, but some time they will go to another store, if they know they can get the item cheaper or if that store doesn't carry some of the items on the list but they are at another store. That is if you allow substitutions.

The Super Walmart is OK, but they don't have alot to choose from sometimes, meaning they don't keep it stock very well.

I perfer Publix or Winn Dixe. Publix is the best for fruits and Veggies.

Just used WeGoShop a couple of weeks ago. Told them to use their discretion on what store to shop. Didn't ask for any really specific brands. Thought they did a wonderful job and were right on time with our delivery. LOVED it!

By that point they might have touble finding bread, milk, and bottled water, so I'd ask them to just get the stuff whereever they can find it. I stopped into Publix last night, there was planty of milk and bread, but as we get closer that could change. My son works at Publix and he's already been asked if he can be available for extra hours this weekend if they need him for Hurricane Prep. (And he loves the $$--and his boss--so of course he said yes LOL!)

Personally I buy some of my dry goods (cereal, paper goods, etc.) and staples at Target SuperCenter, other items like deli and milk at Publix, and make the trip to Fresh Market for my meats, cheeses, specialty/gourmet items, and produce.

I'd bring along a flashlight and spare set of batteries, just in case. Takes very little room in your suitcase, and you might be glad you have them.

My son just loves the subs at Publix!!! He is moving home in 2 weeks and says that's the only thinkg he'll miss from down there!

When we used Wegoshop, we let them pick the store. They shopped at Publix and our grocery bill came under what we had estimated.

We went to the SuperWalmart Store because it was opened 24 hours. So no matter the time we returned from the parks, we could buy the essentials milk, bread, etc...
