Groceries from the Airport to WDW?

Two of the airport to WDW shuttle/car services offer a 15-30 minute stop to pick up groceries apparently at a store on the direct route between the airport and WDW. Does anyone know about this grocery and is this a full service grocery store. We need size 2 infant and size 5-6 toddler diapers, otherwise we have to bring two packages of each, which takes up a lot of luggage space.

Also, are the prices at this store reasonable, or inflated like a store at Disney would be for common items, like diapers or a bag of chips.

Thanks

Do you have a name of the store or any more info.? I live in Orlando and the distance between the airport and Disney is great so it could be 1 of a 100 places. If you have more info. let me know and I will try and help you further.

We used Happy Limo two years ago and our grocery stop was a good one. Sorry I don't remember the name of it, but the prices were great and it had everything!

Prestige towncars will give you a free 30 minute stop at Publix. According to the Unofficial Guide, it's cheaper than Albertsons and one other they did comparisons with and had just about everything any 'normal' grocery store would.

Happy Limo uses Albertsons(full service grocery store) (I believe they list it on their site). What ever company you are using, why don't you ask what store they will be stopping at? This way perhaps you can sign up for a customer card on line. Winn Dixie you can do on line, ALbertsons only took 3 seconds, and no exp. with Publix. Also some stores let you fax a list and they will have it ready for you.

Most of the limo/town car companies won't stop at the super centres--Target or WalMart.

The stops usually are Publix, Winn Dixie or Albertson's. They're the three major chains. I haven't shopped at Winn Dixie, but the three probably are comparable for prices--a bit higher here, lower there. Just like at home!

Ask your driver which store is planned. If he/she says Goodings, please ask for one of the above stores. Goodings is an independent store and prices are much higher than the chains. Okay for the occasional purchase, but very high if you're buying much.

You also can contact your towncar service and ask which store they use for the grocery stop.

Can you bring an extra case with diapers and use it for souveniers or laundry going home? Even if you brought just one package of each, you would have a head start! :)

Do you know which stores allow you do this? We're renting a car so it would be great to just swing by a store and pick up a pre-packaged order. There is no way I'm getting my kids to sit through a grocery shop right when we get to WDW. LOL! I know there are delivery services but I don't want to commit to being at the resort at a certain time. Thanks. :)

I was on the trip with MemoryMakers2669 and it was a Publix.
