I just placed an order from Gardengrocer.com

Do you know if you have to be in your room when the delivery is made?
Can the bell services dept hold the groceries until you check in?

I made the delivery time the exact time we expect to be checking in, but depending on the Magical Express bus we may be later.

We have a dinner reservation about 90 minutes after our expected arrival, so if I make my delivery timeslot later, we may miss them anyway.

Any suggestions?

I will be ordering from an online store for the first time this year so I can't speak from firsthand experience. I have been absorbing information, though, from DIS. It is my understanding that you do not need to be there if you make payment arrangements prior to the day of arrival. The resorts will store the groceries until you arrive or if your room is not ready. I know that the deluxes will refrigerate any items that need to stay cold. I would call your resort direct to verify. One thought about your ADR - If you are relying on Disney trnasportation, a 90 minute leeway may not be enough time.

I am not sure about this but if you are going to be on the Dining plan you don't need this!

We used garden grocer just a few weeks ago and they held our items at the desk for us.

We were at FW and set our tent up then hopped on the boat to MK---On the boat we remembered our grocery delivery and DH called the front desk(thinking we would have to go back to the campground) and they said "don't worry about it,when you get back from the park stop in and pick it up" so when we left MK at closing,I went to the campsite and DH went to the office and picked up our groceries


Don't worry about your groceries they will hold them for you!

I called him yesterday to inquire about that myself as my flight keeps getting later and later and we have an ADR at 5:15 on arrival day.

You should give them a call and explain your situation and let him know that you only have a 90 minute window. He was very nice and told me that we could call him from the airport to let them know we have arrived !! They can also tell you if your hotel will be able to keep the perishables cold for you!

I did get info from them that they can deliver very quickly. They said to call when I first arrive and they will run the groceries over right away(how impressive!). They also said that I could have them delivered earlier and that the hotel would keep them for us & deliver to our room once we check in. He said they do it all the time. What a wonderful service they offer!

The front desk will hold your items for you if you're not there at delivery. I just returned from my trip and ordered several items from gardengrocer; when we returned for our first-day visit to Epcot I asked the front desk if I had any deliveries and they replied yes, that my items were being held for me and would be delivered to the room whenever I wanted them. I asked for them right then and within a couple of minutes they arrived at the room. I had prepaid for most of my items through PayPal, but had asked gardengrocer for a couple of non-stock items through email; they delivered these extra (unpaid) items too, with a note to call them back to settle the bill. I was glad that they were willing to leave the unpaid items, instead of requiring a second delivery or expecting me to be there when they delivered to pay the extra items. I'll use their service again when I return to WDW.

Great service. They arrived right on time, were very professional, and charged reasonable rates. I would recommend them anytime. DH said getting bottled water from Garden Grocer instead of wasting all our snack credits at bottled water at the parks was one of the best things I did for recent trip.

They delivered right to our room almost immediately after we'd arrived, but he leave a message on my voicemail saying he could deliver it to bell services if we preferred.
