groceries for infant?

We are leaving for disney next week with a 7 month old and thinking about packing has us wondering if ordering some baby supplies (diapers, wipes, food, case of water, etc.) ahead of time to send to our hotel would be a good idea? We are flying so trying to limit the amount of luggage we will need to bring. I have read about ordering groceries on the boards but have never done it personally and am not really sure how it works. Can anyone explain? Where do you order from? How early do you have to order the items (we leave 11/5)? Is it too late for us? Do you have to coordinate with disney? We are staying at all star movies. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

We used garden grocer. You go to the website select your items, delivery day and time and pay. The items are delivered to your hotel where bell services will hold them if your not in your room.

Thanks for the info! I know I am paying for convenience but garden grocer seemed a bit pricey and we are on a tight budget... Are there any other options out there? I thought I had read something once about ordering from target or walmart? Is that an option?

We went for the first time when my son was 10 months old. We flew as well. It was him, my dd (then 7) and me. I was so thankful for Garden Grocer. I ordered his baby food, diapers, wipes plus some formula and nursery water along with some snacks and drinks for us. I could not have traveled with all of that along with our clothes and toiletries.

If you leave next week, and want to order, you’ll need to go ahead and get your order in. You just go and create an account, then pick your items and when you check out, you’ll be able to put in the information about where you are staying and what time you’d like your delivery. Ours has generally been in the room when we arrive, with the exception of any perishable items. They have kept those at Bell Services, but when I have called, they’ve brought them to me.

There is also a website called wegoshop.com and they will go to the store of your choice including Wal-Mart. I haven’t used them in the past because of how the delivery charge works, so I don’t have any personal experience.

Another option if you aren’t ordering anything perishable or too heavy is to shop before you leave and send the package to yourself at the resort. Quite a few people have done that and say it works well.

For just infant supplies you could try diapers.com or amazon.com and have it shipped to your hotel.

Are you renting a car while you are here? If do there is a target, walmart, and publix all within 5 miles from Disney, that would probably be a lot less

We had success with wegoshop--they'll shop at whatever store you want. You pay the actual price, plus a delivery fee. We prefer it because we can get exact brands.

We are traveling with our four month old and are renting a car, so we are just going to go to the store for that stuff when we get there. If we didn't have a car, I'd probably get stuff delivered from Amazon.

i looked into the same question and found that you can't send a package from the regular USPS b/c they don't recognize the resort and it does not get delivered. Strange, but thought i'd share what i researched. The selection at garden grocer was not enough to meet our needs with baby food and I agree on the price with you. Walmart and Amazon (unless you get the 2 day shipping) is going to be too slow. Diapers.com is what i recommend, we order from them all the time and they get the box to you in a day or two. They have GREAT customer service as well as a huge selection. For our upcoming trip we wanted a case of water, so we signed up for the free rewards program at Staples.com which gives you free shipping and i have a case of Nestle's Pure Life water for $5.99. I ordered a play yard mattress pad from Amazon as well but i ordered well in advance with their super saver slow shipping. On our other trips it made the most sense to pay the checked bag charge to have the food we bought in our own bag and it worked out great. Having the extra bag is a hassle to lug around but worth it to have the food your baby is used to and at whatever price you paid. I felt like even with the cost of checking the bag, it was still a better deal. I get good deals on baby food with Amazon subscribe and save or at the store with coupons. We were able to bring a good amount of baby food onto the plane as well, in our carry-on. I got a gallon ziploc and filled it, then also brought the dry foods along too. Don't forget to pack and give a bottle for take off and landing, or nurse to help their ear discomfort. On landing one time DD1 was asleep and she woke up as we were landing tugging at her ears, it was so hard to watch and i was trying to wake her and get her to nurse asap. She was just fine though afterwards she didn't tug at her ears. Have a great trip! I'll be there too!!! So excited!!

When i was ordering on Amazon i had to chat and have the guy help me add the new address to my account because it was coming back with an error when i was entering it for some reason. At Staples I had no problem entering in all that information
