I searched for some sort of compiled list as to what the DVC "grocery" stores have and cant seem to find one. Last place i stayed was BWV and i remember seeing:

milk
bread
lunch meat
beer
boxes of mac n cheeze

Please add on so i can settle my mental debate of pick up at WDW or order garden grocer!!!

Frozen foods; like Pizza and Ice Cream.
Pasta & sauce
Wine & hard stuff
Packaged donuts and such
Pillsbury products such as cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls

No :cake: that I can recall.

The list is in the Vacation planning section of the member site, but unfortunately right now, I cannot access the Boardwalk's grocery list! The other ones are OK. Maybe you'll have more luck than I'm having. The list is too extensive to just cut and paste here I think, it runs 3 pages at the VWL.
It gives prices as well.

I found that some of the items like milk, eggs and frozen pizza were actually cheaper from DVC than from Garden grocer.

I thought those grocery lists on the website were just for what was available for delivery. This stuff is all available in the little stores for purchase too? I didn't realize it was the same. I just noticed that the list at SSR has a 3 oz. cream cheese for $2.25! I just double checked my cream cheese in my frig...it's 8 oz. and I'm sure I paid less than $2 for it at Target. What is a 3 oz. size? :confused3 That sounds like a sample!!:scared: We would need 1 each!:rotfl:

so whats on the list is also available in the store..........thanks!! Does anyone know if there is more in the store than whats on the list?

This is going back a couple of years - but at OKW they had bacon, vacum packed steaks, coffee, assorted "snack foods (crackers, chips, cookies etc), of course milk, juice, soda, beer etc. And as I recalled the prices were more than a supermarket but really not that bad.

What's out of site to me is the fresh fruit, and there are no vegetables to speak of, well maybe carrot celery sticks in the food places. I couln't make do on what they have in the resorts. I don't mind the smaller cream cheese, less waste for us.

Another option for you is too walk across the street from Planet Hollywood at DTD to the Hess Gas station. They have a good selection of goodies including beer at realistic prices!

Really?? I guess I was going by the little grocery forms on the website to figure out what the resort carried in their little store. They have beer? How about wine? How can you find out what they carry before you go so you can figure out if you need to use a grocery service? If you aren't getting that much, it might not be all that more expensive when you factor in delivery fee and tip.

Whoops..I see that wine was listed in an earlier post. So..I haven't been to DTD for 16 years..If I took the boat from OKW to DTD how far away is Planet Hollywood and the walk to the gas station?

I thought I read on one of these posts that the beer prices in the store were going to be the same as if you bought them individually at one of the resturants!

What about mixers? tonic water, club soda etc...

If you are staying at the Boardwalk, there is a Hess Station across the street. It really isn't that far, but take with you a small rolling case. If we hadn't, that beer would have been really heavy.....:rolleyes1 Prices are better than in the Disney property stores.

Hi does anyone know if there is a liquor store anywhere near WDW...I was thinking there might be one in that Crossroads shopping center by 535 or someone near there? thanks.

Beer was about $5 a bottle when we were there last Sept. It is definitely better to get it off site if possible. Depending on how much you need to buy renting a car for one day can be cheaper than having a delivery service. There is a Winn Dixie with a liquor store next to it about two miles from SSR so a taxi may also be an option. Any of the alcoholic beverages are overpriced in the gift shops on property. The rest of the food we found to be reasonable but then we were really only shopping for breakfast food and snacks.
