Thanks for the map! Very informative. I didn't realize how close we were to the Poly.

I had a Griswold moment when I was on the Speedway and I was checking out the hot blonde in the car next to me.
What you're describing is the TTC. From there you can take either the monorail or ferry.
You can walk from your car to the TTC (yes, you walk under a road bridge.)

Our kids can certainly help us keep things in perspective, can't they? You could have gone all Clark Griswold on them, but you opted to sit back and enjoy watching your son have a great time. That's awesome. This is more of a going postal moment over a Griswold moment. A long time ago, youngest son(4 years old) and I, leaving Epcot to my older children and wife, departed to MK to catch the 3 PM parade. Got there early, had our popcorn/drink, got seats upper level train station with a good vantage point, etc. All set and hyped for the parade. Promptly at 3 the announcement came on telling us the parade was delayed due to weather please standby. At the time I had just gotten out of the military where my job involved following and knowing weather patterns. I had also been stationed not far away in Mayport FL so I knew there was going to be no weather. Just as I finished explaining this to my son the second announcement came on telling us the parade was cancelled. As I was looking for a good place to take my trusty Davy Crockett long rifle with orange cap to go postal, I noticed my son was very much enjoying his popcorn and didn't have a care in the world. So we had popcorn and enjoyed the MK.
Great advice! I appreciate it, that's why I love these boards. I didn't even know there was a private shuttle.
Oh my gosh, this is so funny (now that's it over with)!!! This reminded me of the time I bought one of those frozen strawberry pops for my DD when she was little and I noticed it was covered with ice so I attempted to lick some of it off so it wouldn't freeze to her tongue and it ended up becoming frozen to my lip! I was trying to pull it off while she started reaching and whining for it. I finally yanked it off but spent the next half hour with a tissue on my lip. Kids!!!We took the kids to MK for a day when were visiting my parents in Orlando. We stayed until the fireworks and bought DD, who was 2 at the time, one of those spinner toys that light up. By the end of the night, she was beat. I put her on my back for the walk to the parking lot, spinner spinning the whole time. She held it up near my head and it got caught in my long hair. It wrapped around that thing and got tangled down to the root. I was trying to get free of it with DD on my back who wouldn't let go of the spinner. DH finally got her down and separated the spinner from her hand. It took me about an hour to get that thing out of my hair.
Now Holiday Road is stuck in my head!! LOL!I had a Griswold moment when I was on the Speedway and I was checking out the hot blonde in the car next to me.

The resort monorail starts running around 7:00, but taking the bus from your resort is always the smarter choice.
That doesn't answer the question of how people DRIVING TO THE PARKS are supposed to get to MK. If you take a bus/monrail from your resort, you didn't drive to the parks. How does an off-site guest get to a pre-opening breakfast ADR? They have to park at the TTC, they can't take transportation from a resort.
This has me very confused.
