Does anybody have any information, first hand experience, or seen any reports about "pooh" sized and tall people people fitting in the seats on the Gringott's Bank ride? I know it's a lap bar but I have been informed if you have large legs they might not fit in between the two bars to be able to ride. I know when Forbidden Journey opened there were all sorts of problems which resulted in a seat modification. I've not seen much about Gringott's.

Thanks!

There's a lot of information in Gringotts Review thread down below. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3292650

I haven't ridden it yet. My trip isn't until January. But, by most account there are a little bit smaller than the seats on The Mummy. But, the first hand accounts I've seen are mixed. In the Dis Unplugged Universal Edition podcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DA...bdO-UVSRC1u-&feature=player_detailpage#t=4166 . He mentions not being able to ride and shows the test seats. The guy in the Orlando Attractions Magazine The show review he mentions being able to ride. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_ZTo4b0u94&feature=player_detailpage#t=395 (Note:videos are cued to relevant parts for people who want to minimize spoilers)

Thanks I'll check them out!

I cannot believe after the FJ fiasco they didn't make seats to accommodate larger sized people. Come on! One of the podcast team members couldn't even ride it and I do not consider him huge at all!

Based on what I've seen and read, it seems like it's a measurement thing. If someone has larger thighs the lap bar won't click, or a waist that might be in the 40 inch + area.

Please correct me if they know of anyone who has been able to ride who has larger thighs and/or a 40+ inch waist.

I've ridden Gringotts and fit fine in the back row. I'm 6''1" and 260lbs. When I spoke to a TM prior to riding, they stated that the front row is a little more snug and less accommodating. The 2nd and 3rd rows fit larger people better. That said, it was a bit on the snug side for me and I think the taller you are helps with the way the lap and shin bars fit. Hope that helps!

You could have a lot of lean muscle making up that 260 lbs. I think it's all about thigh and waist size. I really think the only way to know before going is to get a measurement on max thigh and waist in order for the lap bar to go over.

I hope people don't get turned away on this ride. That really makes me sad to see.

I've just returned and was able to ride gringotts. I weigh around 300lbs and I'm 5ft 8 tall.

I carry a lot of my weight on my legs, especially my thighs and wear a UK 22 -24 on the bottom. I did try the test seat and just about managed to squeeze it down and found the back row was okay and not too snug when riding. I also tried the test seat on Forbidden Journey, which didn't fit but thought id try anyway and I fitted in the outer seat. So you never know. I also found the seats very similar to the Mummy but slightly smaller.

My brother also traveled with me and he's 6ft 4 and around 360lbs with very large thighs and calfs and wears a 48" Jean. He tested the seats outside on both rides and was told he wouldn't be able to ride however when he boarded he was able to get enough clicks and rode. He did find gringotts uncomfortable though as it was very restrictive on his legs.

Hope this helps with figuring out if you'll fit :)

I'm hoping someone who is my measurements can tell me if you successfully rode the harry potter rides at universal. I am going to universal Hollywood with a friend's family in may and am terrified of not fitting.

I'm 5'5 209. 47 inch chest, 42 inch wsist, 46 inch hips. I'm between a14-18 (depending on the brand).

Thanks
