Grilling CM's about BLT

hey that is just the annoucement - nothing is say about the point charts.

would love them first - but hey AKV was selling for what about 2 months before the points chart.

Hmmmmm... I remember getting the point chart about a month before they started selling AKV to members. Looking it over, and seeing both the value and concierge categories, is what pushed me into buying in. As I recall, I had to wait for sales to start.

But maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. :confused3

Isn't part of their sales pitch, "Look at the chart, think of how you vacation, decide how many points that will take"...I am so new to this, having just purchased in Nov, but what would they say to any "new" prospects without a point chart?

I wonder if the official name will be "Bay Lake Tower". It seems like using Contemporary in the name would be more marketable, most everyone has heard of that.

I recently talked to my guide and explained that I had read an article in the Orlando Sentinel stating that Disney has obtained approval to begin selling timeshares at the Contemporary. I told him I know that nothing official has been announced, but would like to be put on an 'unofficial' waitlist to be called day one of sales. He said, true, while there has been no official announcement, he would do exactly as I have asked.

If the rumored July 1st sales date turns out to be factual, I'll have to call and request for him not to call me for day one sales, as I will be arriving on July 1st!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Jump now before the price goes up. The cast member did say that you know when Hawaii is up for sale it won't be this affordable............:stir:

I would not be surprised if Disney backs out of the Hawaii venture. With the price of fuel going up and the airlines tanking, this very well may not come to fruition.

Hawaii is expensive enough as it is, I can't imagine spending a fortune to get there and then the actual stay (DVC or not)!! :(

As a former DVC Advanced Sales Associate, I can tell you that it is true that we are not given any info regarding new DVC resorts until right before the press is notified. That is how we officially found out about DAK. Now I'm not saying we don't hear rumors, but cast members have been fired over giving out info construed to be "official" when it isn't.
