Greeting from Pirates Night!
Let's step back. Dinner at Palo last night. There were eight of us so we got the private room. Khristian was our server. Very simply said, the food was super. Kristian had to be one of the best waiters I have ever encountered. He was extremely attentive, explained the dishes in great details and made some outstanding suggestions. He also tells great jokes! If you are on the Magic, do it. It is well worth it. Plan on a long evening, don"t eat much during the day and just enjoy. Oh yea, the chocolate souflee (sp?) is to die for!
Today the Magic along with, 3 Carnival ships, a Celebrity and a RC were all in Cozumel. It was a little bit crowded here. The day started out rather overcast. We did the Dune Buggy tour which we booked on our own. We ended up in a downpour on our way to the other side of the island. The tour its self was fun. We made our way through the beach, brush and past some Mayan Ruins. The roads on the other side of the island are packed sand or coral with extremely large water hazards! The only complaint I have was with this one Jeep in front of the group. Every single puddle of water they went through, they kept stalling out. Slowed down the whole group. (All I can say is, thank God the monorails at WDW are NOT stick shift!

And to think, all it took were nailclippers to get that Jeep back running.)
The last time I was in Cozumel was 17 years ago when the only people who came here were scuba divers and Carlos & Charlies was a dump of a bar. I was blown away by how much it has changed in that time. It's really lost the charm that I remember.
Tonight was Pirate Night. The Wait Teams were dressed in the theme. The were specially printed menus for the evening and in Parrot Cay we got bandanas. There is no live show this evening. They're showing Ladder 49 with a deck party when we leave port.
Tomorrow is a sea day and Friday is Castaway.
I've asked the folks at the Guest Desk and they are saying that the earliest they expect to retrun to Grand Cayman is Dec/Jan. They tend to think Jan is more realistic.
Brunch on the Western is Sun, Mon and Thur.
Thanks for the correction Len. I knew it was a bit farther the 1 nm. It did seem as if we slowed down. It was a rather nice sunrise this morning. We also saw a few dolphins on the starboard side this morning during our sail in.
Yes Que is on board and he is the BINGO-meister!
There does seem to be a rather large temp difference on the ship. We are using the Deck 6 Aft Elevators. They feel like a sauna most of the time.
I need another cup of coffee.
