Hello all my buddies.
I hope you are all well and had a nice Christmas time. For the first time ever we had Cuthbert's mother over for dinner along with my mother and brother Joseph and his wife and their children Harley and Connor. (I didnt know Joseph had children so this was a surprise for me but we managed to find gifts for them that Dixie and Amos had received and hadn't yet opened).
I don't think Cuthbert's mother and my mother liked each other. My mother is a little rough and Cuthbert's mother is rather posh(believes she IS something!). Anyway they both left with no serious injury at the end of the day so we declared it a success.
The children enjoyed having all the family at the manor. Cuthbert drank two bottles of whisky before dinner and then a bottle of champagne during dinner. I was amazed that he could still stand afterwards, even more so when he won Twister!!!!!
Cuthbert was very happy with his Christmas gift from myself. I purchased him a knitting machine so he can make his own sweaters for golf. I also got him a sheep so he has an endless supply of wool.
He got me a beautiful diamond necklace and ring, a CD by Westlife and a return ticket for a trip to New York on Concorde.
The children were pleased Sanat arrived, I had told them not to expect him as there was no snow and I feared his sleigh may get washed away in the rain. Dixie received the Twister game, a playstation 2, barbie items and a scalectrix( did I spell that correctly?) Amos was very pleased with his new barbie aeroplane, a monster inc DVD and his new dolly pram and a scooter.
All in all it was a peaceful day that ended with Cuthbert unconscious due to whisky, the children vomitting due to chocolate, my mother and Cuthbert's mother with broken noses due to fighting and my brother and his wife taking care of everyone while I watched Eastenders. It really was a perfect day though I did cry when Jamie died in Eastenders. Poor Sonia!!!
Hope you all had a merry time and a Happy New Year to you all.
Seasons greetings.
Love always
Veronica
