DW and I have converted to drinking green tea in place of coffee or ordinary tea - reluctantly in my case but you get used to it (honest !)

Appreciating America is the consumer capital of the world, can anyone confirm you can buy green tea bags in supermarkets and if so, which supermarket ?

Alternatively, is it OK to take them with us - not sure if it would breech the rules on what you can take in ?

Any advice appreciated.

You can definitely take it with you, but it is easy to purchase in the US. I am a huge green tea drinker, and there are an increasing number of varieties in the US in my experience - many more than are available in this country.

I normally shop at Publix - it is readily available there, it's maybe $3 a box of 25, and I'm sure that it's the same in most if not all supermarkets.

Bang goes my plan to sneek back onto coffee !

Seriously though Kristieuk, thanks for your rapid response. Much appreciated.

No worries - I did used to take up valuable case space with boxes of the stuff, but I have noticed in the past few years how the Americans have picked up on the idea.

But hey, if you want coffee, you're on holiday! I don't normally drink 6 margaritas a night, but when on holiday....

I'm a green tea fan myself, but only the caffeine free variety (haven't had caffeine in years). I was a bit worried about finding decaf green tea in the US, but as it turns out the selection was much better there than it is in my local supermarkets! :flower:
