Green bags - Do they work?

Anyone use Debbie Mayer Green Bags? Do they work? I live alone and it seems I can never use my produce before it expires. Especially the pre-bagged lettuce and tomatoes.

Yes, Have used them for a couple of years. Just use for Stringbeans, Lettuce, and Tomattos

I've only been using them on the bread.

My son has these rolls that he likes his sandwiches on. They are made at the grocery store and go stale in about 2 days so by Friday, his sandwich is pretty tough. These bags have kept them fresh all week.

they don't do a thing for the bagged salad mixes that we can see, they work well for spinach, green onions, tomatoes, bananas, strawberries, and carrots though! and I had some Italian parsley that I bought at the holidays to make a recipe, and it was still good last week!
Some people swear by them, others don't. We saw some other ones (not Debbie's green ones) at Gabriel Brothers. They had different ones..some for meat, some for cheese, and some for bread products..not sure how those would work anyhow!

I can wash and reuse these. I didn't have the best luck with the green bags. I used them mainly for bananas and it seemed that the skin would look good, but the inside that you ate got nasty. In my area, many of the grocery stores are having a green colored bag to put produce in. I do like those for celery, asparagus, and broccoli. Also the store provided ones are better for us since hubby had a tendency to toss the GreenBags after one use!

The Rubbermaid containers have a little screen at the bottom so foods don't sit in moisture. They work wonders with berries. My only complaint is that the size variety isn't great.
