greatest vacation ever, day 4

o.k. now it is wendsday and we arrive at hrh at 8:15 a.m., took boat from rpr to citywalk then boat to hrh. it was so early that we were the only ones on both boats, " very peaceful ride, nothing crowded yet ". after arriving at hrh, we set off to find the pool. we finally found the main lobby, and the steps to the pool area. after entering the gates we stoped and got our towels. we also had to show our room keys and recieved yellow paper wrist bands to wear. the pool was compleatly ours. " we even got there before the lifeguards " it was wonderful !!! i fell in love with this pool. music playing, speakers under the water, palm trees hanging over pool in spots providing shade, spots around pool to sit around edges with underwater jets, " kinda like a jukuzee without the heat ", cool pool bar and grill, great slide. employee at pool was going down the slide on his FEET!! it was awesome. let me tell you right now, HRH POOL IS AWESOME !! after exploring hotel and checking out all the memorabila. we headed back to rpr using the boat. we then headed to universal to ride rides around 2:30 p.m. after about an hour i " dad " leave the kids to themselves and plan to meet them back at mels drive-in at 8:30 p.m. while they were enjoying themselves at universal, dad went a little bar hopping at citywalk. started out at margaritaville " my favorite place " after several " refreshments " and a few volcano eruptions, and a few yells of salt, salt, salt " all you parrotheads know what i'm talking about ", i venture up to o'brians. only a few people there, so i head back to margaritaville, where i run into a friend from home, " boy was that wierd " after meeting up with kids, we do jaws at night, " a lot better at night ", and of coarse the mummy. we then watch fireworks, " a really good nightly event " then head back to margaritaville for late dinner, " i think i need to purchase some stock " after that its a walk back to room for the night. i would like now to give a big shout out to sean " bartender at margaritaville " he is from colorado and is a big broncos fan. if you see him tell him the redskins fan said hi. tomorrow the last day and our experiance at mythos.

You can pool hop as long as you're staying at 1 of the 3 universal resorts? Cool. I'm thinking of a short trip next week and we've never been to Universal. Any tips?

plan your day by using these boards, at ioa go right when you get in the park late, go left if you get there early, some rides reguire you put all belongings in locker out front of ride. take your time to learn how to use them and REMEMBER YOUR LOCKER NUMBER !!!. they are free but if the finger scan brakes they have to manually open your locker " happened to us " . eat at mythos at ioa, you will thank me if you do. buy the 5.95 souvenier cup with your favorite drink and get refills forever at around 1.50 . if you don't have fotl axcess than do single rider line, " almost as fast ". if you are at universal eat at mels drive-in, or ritchers burger co., also must do horror make-up show, " best theme park show in the world " . these are a few tips i can think of, but there are so many !!!

Thanks so much! We(DD12 & me) usually head to Disney whenever I need to get away but my passes at Disney are not good this time of the year so instead of upgrading we thought we'd try Universal. I have a feeling we'll love it so much it will be our new weekend home away from home. We're going to be staying at RPR. After reading about room requests, I'm going to request tower 3. I'm nervous and excited.

Opps I meant Tower 1. But if I booked a "STANDARD ROOM 2 QUEEN BEDS 335 Sq Ft Relaxing Tropical Decor" can I get that room? Or is it like Disney where a Standard room is parking lot view?

My DD12 would love it if we could see the park from our room. She's been in PA with her dad since last month and I missed seeing her on her birthday and mine. Our birthdays are 2 days apart (as a joke through the pregnancy I said as long as the baby is born in time so I can have a drink on my B-day. LOL her b-day is June 29. mine is July 1st) She was so big they moved up my due date by a month(may 18th). I had her 2 weeks after the original due date (June 15). Sorry rambling. Can you tell I'm nervous about Universal. Silly I know. If not should I get the pool view (its $20 a night more)? Also I got the Loews blue card, well the number, card coming soon. From what I understand there is a different check-in if you have that? Is that right?

1740 is a standard room. RPR has parking lot and I-4 views too. 1733 is my favorite because it is the closest to the Hulk. You can watch from bed.
BTW my son split the difference with a birthday on June 30.
