Greatest Surprise Trip Ever.....Thanks Honey (April 26-30, 2010)

Loved the dessert pics! I can't wait to treat my 3 sons to 1900 Park Fair dinner (even though they will be 17, 23 & 28 yrs old, I hope they get teased unmercifully by the stepsisters )

I think they will get teased so badly. THat will be so funny!!!

We are from Baton Rouge and are really loving all of the LSU gear ya'll have been sporting!!! I'm sure we will be wearing our fair share during our trip at the end of Sept.

We love LSU!!! Shannon wore something LSU I think every day. He either wore a shirt, hat or his crocs.

Where do you find such cute clothes for your girls? It is so hard to shop for little boys!!!!!

Thanks! I shop mostly at Target and Old Navy for my girls.

Loved your update! One of our favorite character meals was at 1900 Park Fare...not so much for the food but for the character interaction. Those stepsisters were hilarious! They actually spent quite a bit of time with my DD17 and her DBF17 when we were there in January....Anastasia kept telling Jasmine that she should get one carat for every year they're together...it was priceless!!!

That is hilarious. We liked the characters more than the food here.

This day was supposed to be our last day, but thanks to Jaden only dancing on Sunday, we get to stay an extra day. We didn't plan any particular park for today, we would decide on what we missed or wanted to do again. Our only plans for today is an ADR at the Wilderness Lodge Wispering Canyon Cafe at 5pm. THis is one of my favorite meals.

We discuss and decide that we want to head back to Epcot because we didn't get to ride TT yet. We also wanted to get back to MK because this is our favorite park. We also knew that we could go to MK after our dinner reservation because it was open til 11pm and we had planned to take the boat back to MK to catch the bus back to our resort. AND there is always tomorrow.

So off to Epcot we go, not to early though. We sleep in and have breakfast at the food court.

The only plan on our agenda is to ride TT. Jaden doesn't want to ride and neither does Madi. I didn't force them to. Shannon and I take turns in the single riders line. I wish I would have talked the kids into riding, it's such a fun ride and Madi never rode before. I really think she would have like it.

We head to WS to get a Grey Goose Lemonade from France. These are so good. We tried the Grand Manier Orange slush last trip, but this was too
strong for me. I love the lemonade slush. So on our way we go. We start with Canada. The kids get these cute bracelets and have their names monogrammed on them.

We make our way around the countries and decide to find a few characters. We have never taken the time to see the characters around the worlds. Princess Aurora is on the times guide. So we get there and don't see her. We find the character spot, but she is not there. I go inside of the perfume shop to ask and she points right outside and says "she's right outside". I look out the window and there she is.

She must have come out as we were walking into the shop. I feel so silly!! So we get in line behind one family and my girls get to see Princess Aurora.

Shannon is getting a little anxious to get his Lemonade Slush so we try to head that way and we meet up with Marie from the Aristocats. OMG!! This used to be Jaden's favorite movie. We watched this movie every day for about 6 months. This was a great surprise.

We finally get Shannon his Lemonade slush and I of course have to have a couple of sips. This is so refreshing on a hot day.

Jaden did not drink out of the cup she is holding, she wanted to keep it as a souviner!!

We take the monorail back to the Ticket and Transportation Center and change to the MK monorail which we will then take the boat to the WL. The Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of our favorite meals. The food is great and the entertainment is awesome!! We always celebrate my girls bithdays while we are in DW. We decided this year to celebrate it at the WCC. I had put a birthday celebration on our ADR and much to my surprise, they brought the girls some cupcakes when we were done eating. They also asked their names when they sang Happy Birthday.

Last trip we also ate here and my parents were kinda shy about doing the hokey pokey so we didn't ask for ketchup. Well, this time it was just us, so I was determined to ask for ketchup. I thought it was just fun to ask and our waiter was totally into his role. He screamed very loud and very long for the ketchup and we ended up with about 20 bottles of ketchup. We also did the hokey pokey!!! Madison loved doing the parade with the wooden horses. This is one of our favorite meals. I also love the theming
of the WL. This is a resort that I would like to stay at if my budget would allow. Maybe one day.

We take a few pictures with Minnie and that's when I noticed the hat shop.

We finally remembered to pick up Madison's Minnie Ears!! Yea!!! I took a picture of Madison with a silly hat. Shannon had put on a Goofy hat, but he took it off before I could get a picture of him!!

We walk down Main Street and get a close up look at the castle. Jaden finds these little statues that we have never seen before. They had all the characters, even Brer Rabbit and friends.

Then off to Buzz's Space Ranger Spin and of course the teacups.

After we were home and I started this TR, I realized we never did Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. I was sort of disappointed.

Thanks for sharing. It's always nice to see pictures of things we missed at Disney. I'll have to look for those status of characters in December, I never noticed them before either.

This day we were supposed to head back home for dancing, but we got to stay today. But it is our last day!! We had an ADR at Ohana's with Lilo and friends. Our original plan was to eat breakfast and head back to Louisiana for Jaden's dancing competiton. But since we get to stay another night, the plan is to eat breakfast and head to the parks to catch things we missed.

This was a great breakfast. The food was great. They also had this wonderful juice. The kids didn't like the juice so much, but they sure enjoyed the mickey waffles. I like the family style meals. I don't miss too much that happens at the table with the characters by having to get up to fix the girls' their food.

I found that this character meal had the most fun character interaction. Just look at the expression on Madison's face. I think she enjoyed this one the most.

I also took a few pics of the girls around the resort and we explored the beach a little. The girls really liked the time they spent on the beach b/c they were originally told that that is where we were going on vacation. And believe me, Madi has not let me forget that she still did not get to go to the beach. So the 15 minutes we let them walk and play in the sand was not good enough.

I can never get into Ohana's for breakfast or dinner when we go! I have heard such great things, I will try yet again this year!

O'Hana's is wonderful. We have it on our list for next year's trip. We are also going to try it for dinner.

Thanks! My youngest is also starting Kindergarten this Friday and I am getting sad. Keep trying to get into O'Hana's, it's awesome. They even have this little parade around the restaurant with the characters and they have a basket of maracas for the kids to use.

Will we see Daisy before we leave?

While we are exploring the Poly, we decide that we all want to ride Toy Story Mania again, so off to HS we go.

After getting our stroller, we head to Pixar Place to get fastpasses for TSMM. The standby time was 60 minutes and the return time was 4:45 to 5:45 and we didn't expect to still be at HS at this time, but we get the fastpasses anyway, just in case, and get in the standby line. This was the reason to come back to HS, so we don't mind waiting. Secretly, I am hoping I can ride ToT today also, because this is one of my favorites, but I am the only one that likes ToT. This was the first time we waited in the standby line for TSMM. It was so fun, the kids enjoyed all the toys and especially Mr. Potato Head.

The girls wanted to see Buzz and Woody right across from TSMM. I say ok because the line doesn't look long. Well, this is my third trip to WDW and I should know by now, that short lines from the outside looking in, are really long lines on the inside. But, we are already in line, so we waited. They have cute props as you go along the line, good to keep the kids occupied while waiting.

Jaden also wanted to see the American Idol experience while we were here and I wanted to ride ToT. The wait for ToT was long, so we headed to the American Idol Experience next which started at noon. As soon as the show started, this is what happened:

She really is sleeping!! She slept through the whole show!! Everyone was leaving and she was still sleeping. The ladies sitting behind us were laughing at her.

OK, so what to do next? There is nothing else that we really wanted to do at HS and Madi wants to see Daisy and she is at MK til 2pm. It is a little after one, so can we make it?

We head out of the park trying to decide what is the best route to the MK. At the bus stop, there was a bus to the GF, so we jumped on and from there, we hopped on the Monorail from there. We were almost running when we got off the monorail and we still had to go through the bag check line and the turnstiles. By this time it is 2pm. WHAT!!! So, Jaden, Madi and I run to see if we can catch Daisy, while Shannon gets a stroller. Do we make it?

I forgot to add something from Thursday: We also watched Spectromagic on this night. Our original plan was to watch
Spectro on sunday evening, but it was rained out. I was scared we would not get to see it, but when I got the call on MOnday, that our dancing schedule would allow us to stay an extra night, I love to watch Spectro.

Madison was so happy that she was able to see Daisy. After Daisy, we will catch attractions that we want to see before we leave. First on Jaden's list is Splash Mountain. So we head over and get fastpasses. Next, Madi wants to ride the teacups again, so, off we go and of course no line. I also wanted to see the show in front of the castle. On all our trips, we have never seen it. So the next show was about to start so we head over to wait with a snack. We really liked this.

We head to Toontown to check on the wait time to see Tink and the fairies. Surprise, long wait time. Madison was a little disappointed that she did not get to see Tink.

I think we rode Goofy's Barnstormer again.

I'm so glad we found a photopass photographer right in front of the Toontown sign. the sign might not be there the next time we head to the world with the expansion for Fantasyland.

When it was time to use our SM fastpasses, we were deciding who was going first because Madi is usually scared. While we are deciding who is going first with Jaden, she says, "I'm going on Splash Mountain" and I say, " You want to ride" and her response "Well, Yes" So off we go. I'm glad we had fastpasses because if she had to wait, I think she would have changed her mind. But, she liked it except for the big fall. I don't think we did too much else.

I also bought this yummy candy apple at the candy store on Main Street. I didn't eat it till we were home, but OMG, it was sooo good!!! It is Minnie Mouse, but her bow broke on the bus ride.

We head back to the resort to pack up to leave the happiest place on earth in the morning.

I had quite a few posts to catch up on. Such great pictures at the Poly! So glad you got to stay the extra day and enjoy some of your favs. I am with you, love ToT! How funny that Madi fell asleep in American Idol, not exactly quite in there. Sad that your tr is coming to an end.
