By this time, it lunchtime. We head to Flame Tree BBQ. We really enjoyed this on our first trip in '07. A coworker of mine raves about this place. This time, I didn't like it so much. The kids have hot dogs, Shannon has the half roasted chicken and I had the pulled pork sandwich. It wasn't that it was bad, just not as good as I remembered.

After we eat, Shannon asks me if I wanted to ride EE. Well, I don't get sick on rides, but right after I eat may be a different story. So we head over to see Nemo: The Musical. This was really good.

Jaden asks to ride Primeval Whirl. We rode this last trip and it is rough, but she wanted to ride again, so we did. Madi and Shannon ride Tricera Top Spin.

Okay, now I am ready to ride EE. And of course, I have to ride by myself. The standby wait is only 10 minutes. I looked for a single riders line, but didn't see one and there wasn't a CM near the standby entrance. I think the 10 minute wait is the actual walk to the ride. I liked EE better than last time. When I was done riding, the guy that was in the seat next to me told me that there was a single rider line around the corner of the standby line. He said he did not wait at all. Well, at least I didn't wait but about 5 minutes. I called Shannon when I was done and he and the girls walked over to the Maharajah Jungle Trek. The girls were excited to see the tigers. I told him I would walk over and meet them. I found a photopass photographer on my way there. After they were done, we went to the PP photographer I found:

I love when they do the magical shots. The girls didn't know what would be in their hands and they kept asking me. I knew what they were going to be, but I kept them in suspense. They were so suprised when we got the CD in.

UPDATE: I forget the most important detail from our HS day. Our trip was planned for April 24 to 30th b/c DD9 had dancing competition on May 1st and 2nd. We would leave Disney on the Friday (30th) and drive to Slidell, Louisiana and spend the weekend there. We don't get the schedule that we dance until about 5 days before the competition. Our dance instructor knew we would be on vacation so she told me she would call or text me the times that we dance. On our HS day (Monday), she called me and told me we only dance on Sunday, May 2nd. As she is telling me what times, I am writing it on the back of a Disney map. Shannon is reading as I write and when I get off the phone, we look at each other with the same idea. Stay another day at Disney. Why would I drive to Slidell on Friday to sit in a hotel on Saturday. Another day at Disney sounds so much sweeter. So my mission is when we return to the hotel, see if we can stay another night and also add a day to our tickets.
Will we be able to stay at our resort and what is the cost?

Were we able to stay another night? Yes we were. It only costs us 135.00 for the extra night at our resort and only 12 total to add an extra day to our tickets. We were extremeny excited!!!!

Back to our day at AK. Madi is asking to see Minnie Mouse. What!! Wow! She wants to see characters, we won't miss this chance. She rarely wants to see characters. So we head off to Camp Minnie-Mickey. We see Donald, Minnie, and Mickey. Madi didn't want to see Donald though. I was ok with this, I am happy if she wants to see just one.
This is the first time that I have had a PP pic not come out. At each character was a PP photographer. My Minnie ones didn't come out. I usually take pictures with my own camera also, but this time I didn't. I think maybe the scan didn't work, maybe the family behind us ended up with ours. Oh well, maybe next trip. We were finished in AK a little early. We have an ADR at the Grand Floridian for the 1900 Park Fare Dinner at 8:25pm. We make our way there. I loved taking the bus to the Grand Floridian because it was empty. We are super early, so we take the monorail to the MK and we ride the train to Toontown.

Shannon and Jaden ride Goofy's barnstormer and then Madi and I ride the Teacups. I also think this is the night looked around The Chapeau on Main Street and purchased Madi a pair of Minnie Ears and get her name embroidered on them. We leave them there to get monogramed and we will pick them up later or will we?

By this time, it is time to head to GF for our dinner. We took another picture in front of a picture of the castle, but don't purchase this one. It's the same as our breakfast picture from our Sunday breakfast. The characters here are Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the two stepsisters. The characters were great. We were seated at the best table, our table was the characters first stop as they came out into the dining room. Madi fell in love with Prince Charming. The food was not so great. The prime rib was great, but they had some odd items. We are not very adventurous with our meals. But overall we were satisified with our meal.

I keep forgetting to take pictures of our food, but I did remember to take a picture of my deserts and then Madi wanted me to take a picture of hers:

Loved the dessert pics! I can't wait to treat my 3 sons to 1900 Park Fair dinner (even though they will be 17, 23 & 28 yrs old, I hope they get teased unmercifully by the stepsisters )

We are from Baton Rouge and are really loving all of the LSU gear ya'll have been sporting!!! I'm sure we will be wearing our fair share during our trip at the end of Sept.

Loved your update! One of our favorite character meals was at 1900 Park Fare...not so much for the food but for the character interaction. Those stepsisters were hilarious! They actually spent quite a bit of time with my DD17 and her DBF17 when we were there in January....Anastasia kept telling Jasmine that she should get one carat for every year they're together...it was priceless!!!
