anyone have any ideas how to make this trip cheaper then 190 a night?
are there any promtions or discounts that i dont know about?

$190 a night is a great price (at least at the PA location we went to). We paid $220 for a room on a Thurs night in May! And that was with a discount code.

I think $190 is very decent too. Don't forget that INCLUDES entrance to water park for 2 days for a total of 4 people. Consider a water park entrance to be AT LEAST $20/day and that would be $160 total just for the water park entrance.

The best way to save money here, IMO - is to bring your own food. Ours, Niagara Falls location, has frig and micro in every room. We usually bring leftovers for dinner on arrival night (calzones, pizza, pasta, mac n cheese, we even bought and brought fish fries last time) and sandwiches (usually in the car on the way there) for lunch on arrival day. We bring bagels and donut holes for breakfast in the morning. And then we usually do buy lunch on our check-out day (easier since we're checked out of the room at that point, although we usually have grapes or chips in our bag so that we can split a few of the meals and not buy one for each).

I think that's a great rate. The best rate I ever got (on Expedia) was $155/night and that was 3 years ago - haven't seen that one in a couple years.

I am pretty sure there is a Military rate ( I noticed in your siggie you are a Navy wife)that is the same if not better the Fire Dept rate of $149.00
We go all the time to the one in Grapevine Tx and we get it sometimes for $79.00 . I just booked a Sunday night for my Neice and Nephew the 3rd week of Nov for $99.00 I called to ask about any specials for the Fire Dept : )

Also the code for discount is SWIM for 20% off , With the Fire Dept discounted rate we only get the regular room not one of the cute kids suite rooms. We did ask if there was one available last trip and they gave us one for no extra charge . That was very nice!

We just paid $214 (for one of the special rooms..would have been $189 for the regular room) during the 48 hour sale. We went 2 weeks ago and had a blast! One of my coworkers pointed out, as a pp did, that you do have to include admission into a waterpark...that makes the price more than reasonable. As another pp also suggested, saving money can be done by bringing food. I think all of the sites have microwaves and refrigerators. We saved a lot that way. I truly was concerned about the price but after going I think it was worth every cent!!

Have fun!:thumbsup2

Use code SWIM and you get an additional 20 percent off

I agree....VERY good price.

You can take a cooler for drinks and snacks, that will save some $$$$

I want to take my kids after Christmas. It will be a group gift for them on Christmas. Possibly Jan. or Feb. Any idea when codes come out for those months? I have signed up for their club and have asked for a brochure but have yet to receive anything! These budget board followers are usually the fastest to relay specials for everything. My friends are amazed when I tell them about specials I've learned from these boards. Keep them coming!!!!

Sorry to ask again....its asked a lot I know but my search is not working.....

Any Great Wolf Lodge codes out there? I am in Washington so it would be for Grand Mound.

Also anyone been to this one? Have any feedback or advice?

TIA :goodvibes

Try SPLASHERS or FUN. We've been to the Grand Mound location and think its great. The kids really enjoy the pool and the magi quest. The last time we went, it was snowing and it was wonderful to be in the heated pool area. Have a great time.

Thanks for the swim code, summerluv. I called to see if they could change my reservation using the promocode and they did. I just saved another $15, which is enough for a magi quest activation. Maybe I can even convince dh to book another night.

Great to know if another code comes along thats better I can adjust it. I booked with the SWIM code and then noticed it was a "return guest" code....i booked online with no problems so hopefully at check in we will be fine.

Thanks again!! I can always count on my DIS buddies to get me the best deal!

I just booked a wolf den suite for Dec 14th and with al ltaxes and everything came to just under $210 :goodvibes

I know I could have stayed in a cheaper room but this is our first time and I know that my kids will love that the room is themed and they will have bunk-beds. I think the cheapest room I could have gotten would have been around $150 plus taxes so it would have been around $175ish so really I spent an extra $30 on the themed room but I think for our first time it will be fun and then if and when we go back I will know if its really needed!

I used the SWIM code and am just hoping theres no issues with it being a "repeat guest" code and we are not repeats but first timers....I had no problems booking it online so I think we are good :thumbsup2

I just got back last weekend. I paid $119 for a wolf den suite- best deal I have had yet.
I booked over a month ago, I dont remember what the code was. I got it in an email
