I got a flyer from GWL with discount codes, but wasn't planning on going and threw it away. Now we've been asked to go with friends and I don't have the flyer. Anyone know of current codes? Specifically for Williamsburg.

Does anyone know if the Pocono location still has all of the more intense slides?

We went there a few years ago, and there were a few pretty intense slides there, that I don't see on the website? Specifically, one that had an umm.. 'zip runner'(?), or a motorized band to propel the raft upwards and forwards (like the one they have at TL!)

A trip for my birthday is in the works, but I'm afraid it's now more kid-friendly and DH, friends and I won't have as much to do!

Boy, rates are UP in Williamsburg, even with the code I was getting $288/nt during the week! The Concord NC one is giving me $188/nt for the same times. I was using the code FUN.

72HOURS will give you 10%,20%, or 30%, depending on if you stay 1,2, or 3 nights, respectively, over labor day weekend. I believe you can only use this code until Thursday.

Even with the code, the rooms are $260/night, and I don't think DH will go for that. Nothing compares to that $99/night we had 2 years ago. Oh well!

WHOA! That one took Williamsburg down from $308 to $189/nt! I need to find out what that code is for. If it's for boyscouts, my nephew is one and would be with me!

ETA--I called and asked if the code was good for boyscouts AND girlscouts(didn't want to say "what the heck is this code for in case it is only being released to select people) and he said it was. I asked what to bring and he said proof that you are in scouts. If you are not, YMMV with this one.

Thanks so much for this!! My daughter is a girl scout (and so am I since I have the dreaded job of "cookie MOM") Do you know what proof we have to provide?? It's not like we get membership cards!! I just booked online and Got $149.00 a night in Williamsburg, VA (note: NOT valid on Sat night, able to use for Sunday-Tuesday) We are driving back from Disney's HHI, and are using this to break up the trip home!!

Can I ask.....What does YMMV mean???

Oh, I'm sorry. I've seen YMMV used lot on the budget boards. It stands for your mileage may vary. In this case, some people may be able to use the code and not be asked to provide proof they are a scout, but some may get burned. Someone posted a code once that was for alumni of a certain college. It was a great deal--$99/nt. Many people used it without a problem, but when I went they charged me regular price because I did not have an alumni card.

I would just bring your daughter's sash with her badges or her handbook, in case they ask. Or when you make your reservation, ask what they need for proof(maybe bring them some GS cookies, LOL)

YMMV - technically, it stands for "your mileage may vary" - the disclaimer we used to see on car commercials - but in forums I take it more as "your results will vary". If I'm wrong someone will correct me soon though...
