Since my original post about Hannah was getting so long, I decided to start a new thread about her. Lori and Jay took Hannah to the pediatric neurosurgeon today for another CT scan. Lori said she couldn't sleep last night and was up all night crying and worried about what the results would bring. As it turns out, there was no need to worry! Hannah doesn't have to return to the neurosurgeon for THREE MONTHS!!!
He did say that at some point she may still need a shunt, but not right now. He also said that they may have to remove some of the old blood left, but again, not now!! WOOHOO!! Her eye surgery was to be next Monday, but Lori received a call saying that due to scheduling or whatever that they may have to postpone it. Of course, she doesn't want to do that because Jay will leave on business again soon and she will have to go through the surgery alone. At any rate, the sweet angel
is making progress and that is all we can hope for. Please continue to hold them in your prayers. Lori believes that through the grace of God and all the prayers Hannah has received that they will get through this.
As an aside, the grand total from our 5th grade Beta Club's bake sale was $2043.13!! I am so proud of my students for their willingness to help their teacher and her child.
