Great, underused words

epizootic!! (sounds more like epizoodic, emphasis on the "zoo") My Mom, Grandma, and great G'ma would always say things like...."wash your hands before dinner or you'll get epizootic". I always thought it was a made up disease until I looked it up! It's the same as epidemic, but for wild animal populations. LOL!

I still think it's a great way to threaten kids!

That's my word, too! But I ALWAYS use it coupled with "veritable": We have a VERITABLE PLETHORA of choices!

My very favorite is plethora, I use it all the time
but now I am going to use it with veritable plethora
