Great trip at the WL except for one thing!

We had a wonderful time at the Wilderness Lodge, Oct. 4 - 10; uncrowded parks until the 7th or so.

Generally lovely weather but it was warmer than normal according to the locals!

Great view from our Room 7046 (Concierge) of the Contemporary, Castle, monorail in two places, Polynesian and even though it overlooked the loading area I would choose it again for the view alone!

We watched the fireworks from our room two nights and from the California Grill one other night!

Magical Express was excellent but for the first time out of all our trips to WDW we had several bad bus and boat experiences traveling to and from the Wilderness Lodge even though we allowed for at least an hour's travel time. Many times it seemed that despite an abundance of buses running and multiple boats running we couldn't get anywhere in less than 65 to 80 minutes including from the Lodge to the Contemporary. I think we had only one trip straight to the Magic Kingdom by boat (still took 20+ minutes) and one trip from the Lodge to a park straight.

Everywhere we went cast members wished us Happy Anniversary upon seeing our buttons and did little things to note our 35th wedding anniversary.

The trip to the CR from WL should be 5 minutes or less, so there is no viable explanation for the delays...if it truly took a long time, then WDW needs to revamp the mini-boat schedules...or add boats.

We have never experienced the bus delays that people speak of, and since you were there early OCT, the crowds should have been small so...again..no reason for the delays...I would write to WDW and the WL managment and see if they have an explanation.

We've ALWAYS experienced horrible transportation at the WL. Not only on the two times we stayed there either. Every trip we travel over there to eat at WC and use those horrible packed boats! Of course there will be 12 thousand DISers that don't know what I'm talking about because they have always had great transportation and yada yada yada. I realized a long time ago that you truly do get what you pay for and that is why the WL is so cheap.
