I've had Philly Cheesecakes in Philly, hot dogs from street vendors in NYC, done all the greats in NYC, had a cheeseburger in paradise from Margaritaville, these are just a few I can think of...
Can you think of some must do's.........

Why, Chicago pizza of course! ;)

Salt water taffy on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.

Ghirardelli (sp?) chocolate in San Francisco.

Drink a shake on the rooftop of Ruby's on the Balboa Pier.

Beignets and cafe au lait or PO Boys in New Orleans.

ditto on beignets -- at cafe' du monde, of course
and crawfish, and someday the check-in/check-out po-boys will be world famous

is this topic meant to be about food only?

Maryland Crab Cakes..........too bad the crabs aren't that great this year and boy are they expensive.....

OOps.. Meant Philly Cheese Steaks but I do looove cheesecake.

This is not just for food. I climbed the Statue of Liberty, went to the top of Empire State Building, rode a carriage through Central Park.
Love the biegnets at Cafe duMond!
Visited the Parthenon in Nashville,Tn and then in Athens, Greece

Went to FAO Schwartz to dance on the piano like Tom Hanks did in BIG and it wasn't there anymore. I have seen a piano since in a child's museum but it just wasn't the same.

Disnee Dad Says............................................Start traveling with children as early as they can take it.

San Diego
Seattle
Victoria, Canada
San Francisco and Napa dozens of times
Yosemite
Reno a dozen times
Hawaii twice
Williamsburg and Washington DC
Mendocino
Monterray/Carmel, several times
DL four times
WDW four times

DD 13 is a world class traveler, out of all these trips the only problem we ever had was with the ears on descent a couple of times.

Even at WDW for the first time at age seven.

Can we ride that? Well if we do it tommorrow morning we won't have to wait in line. Tommorrow is good, lets go over there!

OK, a couple must do's

Alcatraz and fresh crab in San Francisco
Pike Street Market in Seattle
Seventeen mile drive in Monterray/Carmel
The poly cultural center on Oahu
The Arizona and Missouri on Oahu.
A nice luau, anywhere in Hawaii.
Any Disney park, anywhere anytime.

Lastly, if anyone comes to California to visit the wine country, visit Sonoma, Rutherford, St Helena, the only time we go to NAPA is to get auto parts!!!

Rubbed the snout of il porcellino and threw a coin in the fountain, with a wish to return to Florence, Italy.

Had a shore dinner at Rocky Point.

Rode the rollorcoaster at Revere Beach and Nantasket Park.

Purchased a surf board at Ron Jon's.

Saw the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Plaza.

Tasted just about every key lime pie while watching the sun set in Key West.

Salt water Taffy at the Board walk in Atlantic city!....We used to go there when I was a child and 40 years later the place is still there! JAMES Taffy

Watch the sunrise on the East coast of FL. and then drive to the west coast of Fl. and watch the sun set....

Niagra Falls in the winter time....magical!!!

The thing that we enjoyed doing was going to the Rose Parade. now that was great but going to the buildings where they were building the floats was the best. seeing all the rooms with flowers...the smells. Great!

High Tea at the Empress Hotel in Victoria BC

I have done many of the things mentioned so far, but one I did that I haven't seen mentioned is watching the sun rise out of Haleakela crater on Maui, and driving the road to Hana. Or how about climbing Diamond Head.

Anyone swim in the warm srping waters at Evans Plunge in the Black Hills?

I remembered some others that are great. Dinner at the top of the Space Needle in Seattle and dinner at the revolving rest. at Niagara Falls. Both are great ways to see the area.
