We stayed at HRH 6/14-6/17, and had a wonderful time!

The absolute best part about HRH is the location to US/IOA. It only took us 4 minutes to walk from the outside of HRH to US! The walkway path is beautiful along the river, with all of the trees and flowers. I would stay at HRH again just for the location.

The pool area at HRH is very fun...lots of activities for the kids, music, pool slide, and sand volleyball court. There are plenty of lawn chairs. We ordered drinks and quesadillas at the pool one day. Everything was excellent, but it took quite a while to get our food.

We ate dinner at the Kitchen one night, which was very good. We had ice cream at Emack and Bolio's. Great selection of flavors. Just what we needed after a day at the parks!

The room was very spacious, which was great for our family of 5, and the beds were very comfortable!

My only complaints about the HRH are the fact that even though you can have 5 people stay in one room, there is only sleeping space for 4. We had to pay $25/night for a roll-away. That really adds up. My other complaint is that for a hotel of such quality, I would expect to have a complimentary refrigerator in the room. There is a fridge, but we kept it locked because it is filled with very expensive drinks and snacks.

Overall, we had a great stay, and would definitely stay at HRH again!:)

staying onsite is kewl!

some homies make a pallet on the floor for the 5th person instead of paying for a rollaway.

star services can bring you blankets, pillows, linens so you can pad the floor to make it more comfy. using an air mattress on top of the pallet is even better.

star service is on the room phone.
it's a service for all 3 onsite hotels.

i totally agree, such a short walk from hrh to the studios !!

We usually bring an air mattress to RPR but this year we sprung for a Deluxe at the HRH! I can't wait!!! Glad you had a great time!!!

So, does the Deluxe at HRH have a fold out?

Glad you had a great stay! We love it there too. :)

tricia - the queen deluxe rooms have a queen sleeper and lots of space - great room. I prefer the double queen deluxe. The king deluxe rooms dont have the sleeper but do have a couch and the room is smaller.

I have the 2 queen deluxe booked, and will keep this if there is the extra sleeper on top of the 2 regular queens just so that my boys don't have to sleep together. Otherwise I would downgrade to a regular room and bring an air mattress.

This is the exact reason we book a queen deluxe - my boys need their own bed. Also, you can call star services and request a mattress topper for the sleeper.:thumbsup2

Here are pictures of the room.

Thanks so much for the review. We are excited about staying there! My DS is 17, thin and 6'4". Would the roll-away bed be comfy for him? He really likes the day bed at the Poly (he sleeps curled up). $25.00 a night is pretty expensive, but would be worth it for him.

Did you have to request it upon check in or on your reservation?
