Great Stay at BCV

Checking out today from BCV 2 bedroom after our first stay here. Hubby and 2 other couples joined us to run the Star Wars 1/2 marathon. We really enjoyed the resort quite a bit (but GFV is still our favorite!) The pool was very nice but packed. There was nowhere to sit anywhere near it on our arrival day as all chairs had towels on them. We went ahead and sat at a table with our drinks as we saw nobody around, which really irritated the family who had put their things there. We offered to move (and apologized noting that all tables and chairs were saved but not being used) but to no avail...... oh well. I really like Aulani's policy on the no saving chairs for over an hour. We loved walking to Epcot and back again after fireworks. The rooms were lovely in my opinion (but I never saw them before the refurb). My husband who can't resist fixing something that's broken, took the shower head off and fixed a clog inside (causing almost now shower pressure) - apparently some caulking was caught inside. Also, he fixed the shower door which was installed incorrectly (opening inward instead of outward) and thus wouldn't seal, leaking water all over the floor. It now opens outward so you can reach in and turn on the shower without having to walk into the shower and around the door! (And no more leaking on the floor!) Great stay all in all but I now know the problems that can arise when trying to plan a trip with a group. (Some people just have no sense of urgency to make fast pass times, get to dinner reservations, etc.......) I'm also amazed at how long it takes people to get ready in the morning.... Next time we'll just have them stay in a hotel and meet them later.... :)

Thank your husband for the fix!

Our next stay is at BCV...it's hard to wait!

Glad you enjoed your stay at one of our favorite resorts. We've never had a bad stay there!

Ahhh our home away from home. Glad you had a great stay. Can't wait to be back in a few months.

I should bring my tools along, too. I see stuff like that and want to fix it. Like when the refrigerator door opens to the wrong side.
