Great Restaurants near VB

Just got back Sunday from a week at VB. Weather was awesome. There where 8 of us - 4 adults,4 kids in a beach cottage.

While there, we discovered a new restaurant that serves some of the best fish we've had. It's called "On the Hook" and is located in Sebastian. There is a brief description of it in the Almanac Magazines that are in the VB rooms (page 31, I believe).

Menu changes daily - is written on a chalk board and moved table to table for you to look at and order.

All of fish is fresh from marina attached to restaurant. Clams are harvested on site in their own tanks behind restuarant.

Atmosphere is very plain. No water views. Restaurant is VERY clean and kid friendly. Food is GREAT.

We ate there at lunch and at dinner. None of the same things on lunch and dinner menu except for chowder - homemade and excellent!

Coconut Curry mussels are to die for!

The front desk CMs at VB didn't even know about this place. We stumbled on it purely by accident.

Our other favorite is The Black Pearl. Awesome fine dining. No kids though. Been there dozens of times and NEVER a bad meal.
