I am dvc member at OKW and HHI and am going to a conference in Orlando June so we took up a promotion deal to stay at Marriot Grand Vista (it's near the convention center) and not waste my dvc points. It was $199 for 4 nights (must listen to pitch)but we upgraded to 1bd villa for $139 total. When I went on line, I checked price of 1-bd villa and it goes regularly for $205/night(not a bad rate and they are beautiful with full kitchen, wash/dry and master with jacuzzi) and if you are a Marriott member there is a special for $133/night! I think that's a great rate and the resort looks beautiful(I stayed in Mariott Williamsburg with dvc exchange and was very impressed). If you need the room and don't mind off property..this is a good deal
I know its availabel fro June21-25 during my stay..don't know how long.

Don't know..we are going 6/21. You do not need to do the promotion to get the $133/night rate..just join marriott rewards..its free.
The promotion deal was $199 for 4 nights in standard room-not a villa- and you are required to listen to 90 min. sales deal. We upgraded to the 1 bdroom villa with the promotion. I'll let you know about the pitch. We won't deal with any pressure tactics..that's one of the main reasons we bought DVC-the experience was pressure free.

I just got back from a weeks stay at the Marriott Grande Vista. I can't say enough good things about it! Loved it, loved it!!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa. It had a king sized bed in the master and 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom. It had a full kitchen, and a balcony with a full table and chairs. It had 3 tv's, and a dvd player.

The service and professionalism was outstanding. The ground are beautiful and sooo clean. Housekeeping was very efficient.

The only bad thing (very small) was the bad lighting in the shower area of the master bedroom. Makes it hard to see what your shaving!

Feel free to ask me any questions! I loved it so much!

I did the one bedroom 4/3 deal for $149. I cannot tell you how much I loved it! Also, the timeshare spiel was easy as pie and I think I have a lifelong friend in the sales guy who lived near my parents until he retired! Absolutely no pressure and the best deal I've ever heard in a timeshare.

Great place! Enjoy!

i just booked 2 nites at leisure rate of 191 per nite 2 bedroom it didnt say i had to do a timeshare presentation. i hope i dont. :confused3

Thats exactly the rate and rooms I booked. I got one call trying to feel me out for a timeshare tour, but when they realized I was traveling without my hubby< then I didn't hear another word. Frankly, I was interested, but not enough to inquire on my own.

I just got back and was not impressed at all.(see review section). We had horrible first unit with ceiling fallen into bathroom/shower and the rest was uninhabitable. Hated the sprawling setup, outdoor stucco corridors, one elevator per building, confusing building/room numbering(building 98 but room 8207), garbage and linen carts in parking area all day(very unattractive). Unit was very nice itself(similar to DVC which we have been members since 1994), but not enough to make me purchase there. Sales pitch was very low key-no pressure and we got $100 in disney dollars upon check-in(you could get park tickests instead, but we are AP holders. Was Ok for the $350 total we paid for 4 nights in one bedroom(we upgraded from $199 for the four nights in hotel style room with 2 beds). Have stayed at Marriott timeshare in Williamsburg and was very impressed with everything, so I was surprised how much I did not like here.
