GREAT rate at National!

My national rental rate dropped another 48.00! I am so thrilled with my rate now. Thanks again to this thread. I was not going to check the rates again, because I am within 1 month of trip and I am trying to get other things organized. But, when I saw this thread, I thought why not check. Very glad I did!

ME, too! My rate for a compact for 10 days was $205 using the Priceless code.

Thanks to this thread, I am now paying $149. I am SO happy! My friend has an Entertainment book and gave me the correct coupon. Hopefully they won't ask to see a card!

I can't believe how sweet this code is!!!!! I am paying $4 more for an intermediate car at an in-terminal (National) company that I would pay for an Economy car at Payless. Unreal! So what is the deal with the Emerald Club thing?

There's two different types of Emerald Club services.

The first is Emerald Reserve. That's a service that lets you reserve any size vehicle you like. You then just proceed to the garage at MCO, pick your car from the row that is labeled as your size, and are on your way!

The second is Emerald Aisle. You reserve an intermediate car, and then proceed to the Emerald Aisle row, and take your pick of whatever is there. Sometimes there are no cars on the Emerald Aisle - in that instance, you go to the Intermediate Aisle, and take your pick from there. It's sort of like you have the same chances of upgrading as any other car company, you just don't have to go to the counter to do it.

From there, if you rent enough, there's a few more levels of service above that. Emerald Executive and one other I think.....

Membership is some $50, but if you go to www.mousesavers.com, there's a link to get a free membership.

I thought I had a bargain before for $114...weekly rate in September with the above codes for an intermediate car $97.61 including fees.

I honestly can't believe it.

I got a full size for 10 days for $207 (tax incl) with the code plus the coupon. I think I will check again in a couple of weeks and see if it has gone done any from that.....although I can certainly live with the $207!

My dates are 9/17-9/22 and yes I am using the Priceless discount and the Entertainment book. This rate is cheaper than any of the off site agencies.

You may need to clear your cookies, and your history. Sometimes, if you do that, it'll give you a different rate at national's website.

they have you for 3 days at one rate and 2 days at another ( but the same daily rate ) ...totalling 5 days

which is better than having 5 days = a weekly rate which is the "usual " with rental car companies ( which for this week would have been 124$ not the 111$ in your rate )

Oh, yeah, down another $27!

Part of that is that concession fee. When I did my reservation the other day, I'd just signed up for the free Emerald Club membership as shown on mousesavers. When you do that then immediately book a reservation, it inputs the Turner Travel Contract ID.

So, today, I made sure to take out that Contract ID & put in the Priceless one and I didn't get charged the concession fee

I still do not get the good rates at National for my trip in August but I checked again at Alamo and the rates fell yet again with the costco coupon for a free day. For a full size my quote is now $123.22. That is a weekly rate (even though I am only staying 5 days) and includes the extra driver. National with the priceless # and entertainment is in the $170-180 range.

For our upcoming September trip, I have a rate of $112 right now as someone else mentioned (base of $119). After reading your quotes of $97, I tried clearing my cookies and history and tried again. I'm still getting $112. Not that I'm complaining about this rate , I was just wondering if I'm doing anything wrong. Thanks!

Just had to post & say thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Our original quote for an Intermediate car for 14 days in September/October was around $475. After checking daily, I got it down to $352 & was mighty proud of myself for it!!

Well, after reading these posts, I went back to the National site & tried the Priceless code (no Entertainment book, though!). I got a rate of $260!! I'm SOOOO excited!! You guys are THE BEST!

(Now, has anyone figured out how to make these timers go by any quicker?!?)

Just to let you know, I have a full size booked for Sept/Oct also for 14 nts for only $255. Using priceless/entertainment coupon...when I was booking it I noticed the full size was less than than the intermediate. I don't know if it still is but it is worth checking out.
