Can anyone recommend great places to see the characters other than the character dinning? For example, in WDW I know we always see the most characters walking around Epcot WS. Last time I was in DL we bumped into a few princesses and Mickey just by chance. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

Mainstreet just inside the park is a good place to catch Mickey & Minnie, Pluto and Goofy, but you can also see Mickey & Minnie at their houses in TT.

Aladdin and Jasmine can be seen outside the A&J's Oasis before story time.

The princesses can been seen at the Princess Fantasy Faire if it is still open. And at certain time in front of the castle as well.

I've seen Stitch inside DCA in the rotunda.

Chip and Dale make appearences in both parks I believe too.

I can't wait to see the fairies at Pixie Hollow. :)

Hope this helps! :) princess:

I could be wrong, but I don't believe they do the story time anymore. We have seen Aladdin and Jasmine in that area though still.

Critter Country is the spot to see the Pooh characters, we have seen the characters from Splash Mt roaming around near there as well.

Jessie and Woody are sometimes out in Frontierland. We always see Jessie over by the backside of Thunder Mt.

We have seen Buzz near Space Mt and the Buzz ride.

There have been reports of princesses near the Mickey Floral around 3 PM pretty recently (we saw them there in March).

As the PP said, Main Street for Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, etc. There are usually several characters around opening time just after you go through the tunnels. We saw one of the old vehicles carrying a ton of the characters that were let off towards the entrance. Donald, Pinocchio, Alice, etc.

Alice and Mad Hatter can be found at Coke Corner for musical chairs (at 2:30 when we have been there).

We have seen lots of characters at DCA on the street that has Animation Academy, etc. We have seen the Incredibles, Goofy, Sully, Woody, Mickey and more...Stitch near the fountain.

Toon Town as well, as mentioned before.

No, story time is no more.

But that location seems to be a character meet & greet for Aladdin & Jasmine now. Friends of mine even saw a Photopass photographer with them at the Oasis last week.

You mean specifically for characters?

Princess Fantasy Faire has them, so does Pixie Hollow. The Critter Country meet & greet does have one with Pooh, but it's a CM with Eeyore/Tigger/whoever the second character is. Like I said, my friends reported one at the Oasis too.

For Main Street and all other places it's a hit and miss. I've seen Photopass people at the Backlot during Halloween time quite regularly, but no one for the other days.

Thanks. I was meaning for both characters and none. We were thinking of getting the CD but we're only there two days so I think I'll wait and see. I know when I was there in 2007 there seemed to be more in CA than in DL but don't think we're gonna get to CA this time :-( Thank you for the info

That's the impression I had too, definitely more Photopass people in DCA.

There was a topic once that listed all the Photopass possibilities, but unfortunately search doesn't cooperate with me right now.
I'll see what I can remember from the top of my head.

DLR:
- Right after the entrance at the Mickey Floral
- Town Square near the "celebrate" sculpture thing
- possibly along Main Street so you can get shots with the castle in the distance
- near the castle and at the partners statue
- at the Rivers of America - this one is doing a special photo of you fighting Hook
- at the entrance of Tomorrowland (special photo of you fighting Darth Vader)
- there used to be one in Pirate's Lair near the area with the pirate booty, but I think that got abandoned when Jack Sparrow disappeared

DCA:
- at the entry and at Sunshine Plaza. The entry guys can do special enhancements too like Stitch popping out of the ground.
- the waterfall near the entrance to Bug's Land
- near the bridge with the Paradise Pier logo
- Hollywood backlot near the Hyperion theatre.

I'm afraid that's all I remember at the moment, I am sure others can add to the list.

Chip & Dale are ALWAYS back in the petting zoo, every time I go back there. There is hardly any traffic back there, so lots of times you can see them playing around, and never a wait for photos.
Also, We have run into Marry Poppins and Capt. Hook a few times in the Coke Corner/ Plaza Gardens area. (don't ask me why those 2 are hanging around together!)

I always see Pooh and Friends behind Splash Mntn. Princesses are usually by the castle, in the gardens off to the left side, or of course at the PFF. Buzz is usually by the Pizza Place in tomorrowland. He does a dance show over there. Mickey & Friends are usually at the beginning of Main St in that round courtyard area, or also in Toon Town. We see Jack Sparrow and Jack Skelington in New Orleans Square.

Also in DCA there is a tage just infront of MonstersInc. I've never seen the show but they have characters down by the stage after the show. Cindy, Woody, Mickey and a few more.

Drawn to the Magic! You're right, I forgot about that one.

They have Mickey in Fantasia outfit appearing, one princess (mainly Cinderella, but we saw Snow White) and it used to be Woody, but I heard he was replaced with Peter Pan a couple of times lately.

We spent a few hours in Toontown on Wed. the 19th and Goofy and Pluto were out wandering around a lot! I happened to be standing in front of the Toontown City Hall at noon and the clock started spinning and music playing and out marched Pluto, it was cute!
