In my case, from Albany, NY to MCO.. $44 to $49 each way..

Oooooo...so tempting because I just purchased an annual pass, but I'm already going in December and didn't want to activate it till then.. :rolleyes1

Good to know. Thanks.

I am pretty certain my flight down in November will be a DING fare. They have been dinging it like crazy for September and such, so I am hoping. Would love a $39 or $49 one way fare. Take the credit and apply it later.

Awww, c'mon and join us for MNSSHP;)

Come on now - that's just plain evil trying to entice me like that.. LOL

I would be an adult - traveling solo (or perhaps having my sister who lives in Florida could join me) - so I'm not too sure if the MNSSHP would be much fun for us.. Anything else going on in October? Oh shoot - what am I saying? See - you're enticing me!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good idea! I did just that.. Either I'll go down - or save the credits to use towards flying my DD down sometime between Jan. and March while I'm staying in Florida for the winter.. ;)

Yep, I snagged some of those at lunchtime. I saw it this morning, but it took my DH forever to call me back and confirm the dates are ok.

4 of us on non-stop flights for 462. Woohoo!

Just don't tell my worrywart DS7 that it is still hurricane season. As far as he'll be told, it ends Oct. 1. LOL.

Hard to resist those prices, isn't it? Now I'm sitting here mulling over my options:

Go by myself and go to WDW with my annual pass..
Go down alone and have my sis join me and go to WDW..
Go down and stay at my sister's - but take her down to Orlando one day and treat her to Sea World (she's never been and they have the adults for child's price special right now)..
Go down and just hang out at my sister's..
Or - last but not least, just hang on to the credits..

Decisions, decisions.. LOL :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Oh - and tell your son my sister lives in Florida and "she don't know nuttin' 'bout no hurricanes in October..." ;)

Go to southwestairlines.com

On that page you will see where you can download the "Ding" program.

It will show up on your computer everytime you turn it on with a small icon and whenever there is a "Ding" fare, you will here a "ding".. Best to click on it right away because those fares go fast and you are usually only given a few hours to purchase those flights.. :)

You can say that again! For those kinds of prices - and non-stop flights - I'll put up with the "cattle call" boarding system from now until Doomsday!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We've been testing assigned seats here on Southwest flights. Most passengers are not happy with the way they are being assigned seats, but we are turning airplanes as fast as unassigned seating. Interesting to see how it pans out.

Forgot about that - haven't flown in a while - but I still agree with C. Ann. Unbeatable prices and the ONLY non-stop game in town.

Please please please no assigned seating! Never thought I'd feel this way, but I've actually grown to love boarding the "Southwest way"! Even when I end up in the B line I get the seat of my choice, don't have to settle for whatever's left when I book my flight!

Nothing will airline-wide happen before 2008, and it may not happen at all... :sunny:

I also hope SW doesn't go to assigned seating.....we've never had a problem with the so called "cattle call" on many trips........sometimes with two of us, sometimes four, and sometimes six. I have no problem boarding a flight and being able to choose my own seat as I board. I've said before........I have 3 grown children and a 5 yr old grandson....so I have nothing whatsoever against little ones, but, sometimes when I travel w/o my kids and grandson I don't really choose to sit surrounded by someone elses kids either and with assigned seats, I can't make that choice and neither can anyone else if they don't wish to sit near my family when we're all travelling together. So, I really hope someone at SW is listening..........

Yep, cheap airfare. Of course then you need a room, and darn if you don't have to eat (although C.Ann you can stay with your sister and you hardly eat LOL). And you need tickets for whatever special party they are having (and if you go to that, you do need a room, cause you'll stay until they close). Yep, that's how we get suckered in LOL.
Of course the best thing is, fly often enough and you get free awards. I sold two of those (well, actually I sold something else and gave them away LOL) and got myself over $700..which paid for most of the cheap trips I took. I still have two more, which I'm using to go to CA..unless they have a cheap ding..then I'll pay and sell those too!
Darn, that Southwest LOL.

Yes, the wine and cheese party, with all the great bands.
