Great Movie Ride ???

When the line splits on the Great Movie Ride at MGM, do you go left or right if you want to ride in one of the first two cars??

I'm not really sure on this one but i'd like to know to! For some reason, I remember being able to choose which car i wanted to be in without being told where to go by a CM... anyone else remember this? I was surprised to find queues for specific rows when i was there last March. maybe it's only my imagination but i remember being able to choose "gangster" or "cowboy" when i got into the take-off room. Anyhow, last time i was there i think they were only working the gangster one since it was off-season and they had smaller attendance and staff.

We were there last week and we had gangster. I've ridden it twice and had gangster both times. Didn't know there was a choice. The ride starts to the right so I think if you want one of the first two cars you should head to the right. We did not stand in a line after the theater part, but maybe you have to when it's more crowded. Hope that helps!

You don't have a choice. The CM's assign you to a row (car) based on the number in your party. I guess you could ask the CM doing the assignment for a particular car.
