Really enjoy the ride, but it's due for an overhaul/update. Most of the referenced movies are 30+ years old, and is lost on most of the audience. Nothing wrong with paying homage to the long history of movies, but maybe make that a smaller piece and put more modern "classics" in.

I thought I read somewhere that Disney is not renewing the contract with Turner and they are going to completely overhaul the ride. It may not even be the Great Movie Ride in any capacity. I hope this isn't the case (because as others said, it is very relaxing and unique) but it is what it is. New Disney guests want technology and neon lights to be a part of every ride.
