Trying to decide whether or not to make this ride 1 of our FP+ selections. I have a 7yr old son with ADHD, and I've heard that it could take a while waking through the theatre to get to the ride but in also heard FP doesn't go through the theatre. My son is ok about walking for long period of times but not standing in lines. But on another note I really want him to see the theatre bc it looks really cool inside. My question is what's the best time of the day to do the gmr if I didn't get a FP for it

Well that's good because you're going before the Easter rush. Spring is usually a very busy time for Disney World. However, the good news is that the Great Movie Ride is an older attraction. I believe it opened when the park opened back in '89. Therefore, the lines should be EXTREMELY minimal if there's any line at all. What I would do if I were you is save your FastPass+ for rides like Toy Story Mania as that ride is in high demand. There should be no to a very minimal line for the Great Movie Ride. :)

Thanks so much! I already knew I was going to get a FP for toy story mania. I remember when we went 2 years ago I tried to get a fast pass for that ride around 10am and the return time was at like 5 or something in the afternoon lol...so we didn't get to do that ride...we mostly see thd shows when we go to DHS... I think toy story and gmr are the only rides we will be doing that day

Just so you know- FP/FP+ does go through the theater
