Hello!

We have never done the Great Movie Ride but I've always been kind of intrigued by it. We'll be there later this month, and one person in our party has a huge--and I do mean huge--fear of snakes. Are we better off just skipping this ride altogether? Thanks for any insight into this!

Just have them close their eyes and tell them when the scene is past..no biggy....The attraction is well worth the inconvenice of a min or 2 with their eyes closed.

It's all fake snakes. There's a lot of them but only a handful move. Depends how terrified the person is

Because one person has a fear of snakes doesn't mean all of you need to skip the attraction. I would show the person a youtube of the attraction and then see what she/he has to say. If that person declines to go on the attraction, then they can wait for the rest of the group outside, or go through the preshow with everyone and then leave before boarding.

And to add, the Indiana Jones part only last about 20 sec

I'm terribly afraid of snakes, too, but the snakes on that ride never bother me. They look too fake to be scary.

My husband is terrified of snakes, and they didn't bother him. However, he did say it was the most boring ride he'd ever been on and he wouldn't be doing it again....(and he doesn't even complain about CoP!)

Its a very fun, entertaining, relaxing ride.

The Aliens part scared the heck out of me as a kid though

I agree with the person above me, have them YouTube it; even though that ruins it when you see it in person I'd feel

Is she scared of obviously-fake, plastic snakes? Because that's what they are, and they aren't really close to the boat. Also, it lasts 20 seconds, tops. If she's really that afraid of them, then she can wait outside?

Don't skip the ride. To me it is one of the better attractions at HS. The car/tram you are in moves slowly . You will be able to see the Indiana Jones section coming up. If it wigs you out, close your eyes until you get to the next section.

When she closes here eyes you should put a fake plastic snake in her purse.:duck:

They'll be absolutely fine as long as they close their eyes. The scene is really only about a minute long or so. It's definitely worth the experience, even if they're afraid for part of it.

As someone already mentioned they are not very close to the ride car...make sure you have the person who is afraid sit in the center of the car and then they will be as far away from them as possible!
