I might have missed this in a previous post, but are they putting Fass Pass in for the Great Movie Ride? When I was there last week, I could see the top of a new structure sticking out above the blue wall surrounding the front of the theater. Looked like it might be the structure for a Fass Pass kiosk.

That might also explain why the rehab was taking so long....gotta reroute the que for the two lines. Just a thought.

I am not aware of FastPass being added to GMR, but nothing would surprise me in terms of FP additions (it was offered at Muppet*Vision for a time, after all)... Rerouting the queue would not cause a longer rehab. Based on previous such alterations, a hypothetical FP queue at GMR would start at the lobby doors on the left hand side and merge into the current wheelchair turn-off upon entering the theater preshow area. The standby queue would most probably take the same path it currently does, staying on the right hand side through the lobby and splitting into left and right sides upon entering the theater preshow area.

The reason this rehab is so long is because it is large in scope. Extensive repainting has been done inside and out, and a new sound system is being added (among other things). When a large attraction goes down for an extensive cleaning/rehab 6-8 weeks is not unusual.

Also, I believe the re-opening date has been moved up a bit, making the rehab shorter than originally anticipated.

Hi Steve, do you happen to have a general idea on how far that date has been moved up? This is one of my favorites, and i was a bit disappointed to see that it would be down during my visit. Thanks.

I think I saw June 8, but I can't be sure... will have to look (please don't hold me to that date, I'm trying hard to remember...)

That would be Fab if they offered FP at GMR.
