Great location to view the night time fireworks??

Will be at MK Wed. Dec 22 and hope they will be open late that night and have fire works. Last year at this time they were open till 10 p.m.
Question:
Can you recommend a great spot in or around MK to watch the fireworks. I am staying off-site and have to be a the entrance of MK at 10:55 p.m. to catch shuttle back to hotel. Will also have two very tired young kids with us.

Have not seen the MK fire works in 21 years and remembered how amazing they were then. I can't wait to show it to the kids for the first time. 21 years ago stayed at the Contemporary (for 7 nights) and watched from our room (if I remember correctly).

We stood at the castle end of main st. by the circle. the view was terrific.There are ground fireworks that you will want to see. We could see Tinkerbelle from there also.

We also stood up on the seating that goes around that circle. We used this spot to watch the parade and then the fireworks. Now my sister did not want to fight the crowds out so left a wee bit early and said that watching tha fireworks from the ferry boat was excellent.

The best view is from the circle in front of the castle...preferably the left had side (facing the castle). It's extremely crowded but the fireworks look beautiful from there (other locations give great a great view of the fireworks but the castle isn't centred in front of them). It's worth trying to see them from there at least once.

What about watching the fire works from the WDW railroad station at the end of main street (by the exit)? I was thinking that this might be a good location to beat the crowds leaving after the fireworks??

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated????

It is a great location and for that reason alone it fills about about 21/2 hours before the parade starts.
