Great little wifi travel router.

As we're in a few DVC resorts this trip I'm hoping we'll benefit from free internet in our rooms. (If not I'll probably buy some time every few days anyway.)

The difference however between this trip and last trip is that we're now slaves to our iPhones and iPad - which poses a problem when you don't have the option of Wifi!

So I bought a little travel router online (LM007 is the model number) for £20+delivery.

It came yesterday and I just spent about 5 minutes setting it all up here. Got both our phones, the iPad and my netbook all connected.

Fingers crossed it's now jsut a case of plugging it in once we're at WDW. I hope so as I want to use my Disney apps - even if it is jsut from the room! :goodvibes

The netbook will still be travelling with us though, even if it does just end up as a place to store our photos and videos. :)

Great sounds like a bargain.... We too are staying in a few dvc resorts ... I will check the bill every few days to see if the Internet is free!,,

If your staying on points then it should be free.

I take a Belkin Router with me and have no problem connecting with both my iPhone and Laptop so you should be fine.

The only thing I don't know, which I'll find out this trip is if you can activate the service with an iPhone or iPad as I've done it using my laptop before now.

Assuming that the pad can activate the internet then I'll probably stop taking the laptop with me from now on. I mean with a pad and bluetooth keyboard, who needs a laptop? :)

And assuming you stay on points it's definately free as the PP said. If for some reason they charge just speak to someone at the front desk and they'll sort it out for you.

I got it on eBay. But I'm pretty sure the seller was UK Surplus. :)

It's rented points tho, we have had it free in the past so fingers crossed:)
Yeah, I've read reports of both.

I won't expect it, and will pay for it when I want it.

But if we do get it anywhere (we're at 3 DVC resorts on points) then I'll take it as some pixie dust.

In theory.

That's the one I bought and I have it all set up, works great at home, just need to wait until we're there and fingers crossed it'll all work fine. :)

Ooh good, it will save DDs trying to hog my macbook to contact their boyfriends and friends :)

It doesn't matter who you book through.

Unless you;re a DVC member paying on points then internet is $9.95/24 hours.

If you're having to pay it though it is for 24 hours so you can 'work' it to cover 2 days, that's what I do :D

I know a few do this, never works for us. Last year paid for 19 days out of the 21. Too much DIS time:rotfl2:

Yep :) That's how we do it.

We got it 4 times during our 2 weeks trip and it didn;t feel like we were ever without. :)

Sorry i'm a bit dim where all this is concerned :(

So does that mean that the travel one that Wayne posted a link to, just plugs into the phone connector thing that normally plugs into the laptop, and then that its we have wireless in the room??

Seems to good to be true!
