Thought it would be a fun post... Today my daughter and I hit Micheals and got small wooden boxes different shapes and paint to decrate them... she has a while to work on them and shes loving the project... the boxes were only $1 each and the paint was $3.99 so its a super easy and cheep gift...

also from micheals: Random paiting. Buy those little (3 pack for $5) packs of canvas and let the kids have at it. My best freinds children enjoyed this and when I get all 25 peices done, its going to be my new wall art (though it would make a good gift)

My kids have made ribbon bookmarks with beads on them. I buy the thin satin ribbon and a bunch of beads with a decent size hole. Put a knot on one end, use a threader and put several beads on, knot after the beads and also 3/4 way down, then more beads. We add a "believe" or some kind of saying bead at the end and then another knot. Great teacher gift and everyone has loved them.

Every year we go to Family Fun magazine or their website and make an ornament or craft from thier ideas. They have so many, and it makes a fun gift that people can use immediately. They have so much fun making them.

GREAT ideas... my dd5 is having so much frun making her boxes... and then we have nice thoughful gifts for our family members from her (these are the "have everything" people) --- She is excited to give them as gifts
