I started a Disney Fun Money Piggy Bank for the kids for our upcoming trip to Disney. What we are doing is clipping coupons from the Sunday paper. We go food shopping and try to get as many things for our dinner for the week that we can by using the coupons. We stick to our budget. So if we spend $80 a week, that is what we are spending. So what we do is at the end of our shopping trip we give our coupons and the money we saved goes straight into the piggy bank. This week we just added $9.00!! This way we slowly see the bank accumulate money for fun extras for our trip!

Hope it can be useful to someone!

Back in March of this year I paid myself for the coupons I used at the grocery store.
I saved over $30 (it was a good month for coupons), but the budget got really tight at the end of the school year and I stopped paying myself. I just started paying myself again for using coupons and for the first two weeks of July I saved $10. Today I used another $5 in coupons and will add it to next week's savings.

It's kind of cheating, but when we use our Food Lion card or Superfresh card, we count that as "coupons" too. So today with coupons from paper and super fresh card we saved 31.00. We're big eaters, and try not to buy stuff just cause its' on sale. So it really is a savings to us.
