Great Hotels

Is it just me or do they need to do shows on the moderate and/or value resorts? I mean, who doesn't love a deluxe resort, but everybody is not able to afford them. It would be great if Great Hotels did the whole line of WDW resorts. Even if they do it just to include it on that new Disney Travel Channel on Demand (which I wish I could get, but I heard it is only on Time-Warner and not Comcast).

I don't think they would ever do any "Great Hotels" episodes about the moderates or values. The show focuses on nice & unique hotels, and while the moderates & values are great when compared to other budget minded places to stay, it doesn't fit into the theme of the show. Sam's all about getting pampered anyway. I do think though that it would be a good idea for the Travel Channel to do a special on all of the WDW resorts.

I just stayed at the YC a couple of weeks ago and it isn't so "great" for many reasons. The rooms were in desperate need of updating and smelled mildewy, among other reasons. I'd take POR any day and we wished we would have stayed there (it was booked during that week).

I think POR would be a great episode of Great Hotels, with it's excellent theme, pool, etc.

Great Hotels is no longer in production I don't believe. It stopped several years ago. Sam's latest show was Passport to Europe, and her new show Passport to Latin America is about to start.
