My family is back in Iowa after 10 days in Orlando. We enjoyed all four Disney parks, DisneyQuest, Discovery Cove, Universal and Sea World. I really want to thank everyone on this board for all the great tips.
The crowds were very manageable. There was a rainstorm nearly every day, which really helped to keep the temperature cool and probably helped lighten the crowds. (It was way hotter here, so that made it fun to head south to Orlando in July to cool off.) We saw/tried/visited just about everything that my daughter didn't deem "too scary", so if anyone has any questions, I'll try to help.
The biggest tip of all, which you probably already know, is to use Fastpasses whenever possible. The number of people who stand in line rather than use Fastpasses was shocking to us. Fastpasses are easy and free - use them early and often. Just by using Fastpasses in Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom, we were able to ride Dumbo (twice), Pooh, Snow White, the carousel, Small World (twice) and Peter Pan in just over an hour.
I have no idea when we'll get back, so we'll be living the memories for awhile.
